From my perspective, Emily is not "self-aware." (Though perhaps there is someone else on here who is. ) Often times, there are particular triggers such as "bust your balls" when you see "X" or edge when you see "Y". This would NEVER occur in real life, so it's common on teases made for this thread for the girls to be aware of the rules—since they are such an integral part of the gameplay. Otherwise, how would you explain random busting or edging within the context of the tease? If you aren't aware, I was active on this thread for about 7 months as "LeeroyJerkins." I recently expanded and updated my rules to include some of "Leeroy's" old rules, and THAT was one of them. It came from a time where I was REALLY trying to experiment with writing sets where the player could really "feel" like "the dom" in the set. It was an experiment, and it didn't work for Helequin, but ... it kind of worked for Ecik.

It was a hybrid Ecik/Helequin/Everyone set. I can provide a link if you are interested in trying it out at some point. Getting the branching options right proved to be VERY time consuming, but ... I actually used some of the lessons I learned there on a recent set for Ecik, which ... yeah, it's interesting.

You joined Milovana in 2013. I was lurking on Milovana in 2016, then joined in 2017. In 2021, I finally ran out of webteases, got interested in THIS thread, and after MONTHS of lurking, FINALLY posted in October of 2021! Was very active for about a year, left for a year and a half, then rejoined in April. So, now you know my "history!"

I bring up the origin of the "teasing sub mode" because you are a switch. I know you have played and written a LOT of teases. We had a bit of a conversation on here about trying to make the player be "the dom." That "everyone set" was my "best attempt. Ultimately, proved to be "too difficult" a venture to REALLY make successful, but ... if you haven't done/thought much about trying to make more "player as dom" experiences, it *could* be interesting to check out—but no worries! Mostly, I'm just trying to flex and demonstrate my tease-writing bona fides to an OG veteran—YOU!

Anyways, "Leeroy" was on a kick of trying to NOT get "treated like a sub all of the time," so that "mode" is a relic from that time ... I was expecting the girls in the tease to act "subby" based on that rule getting used, but ... mechanically, it worked well. Put me in a slightly different mindset than usual. Okay, it’s going to take me some time a few posts to get caught back up on everything. I have an everyone set almost done, so that and the revamped update will come next post.

I will also do a refresh of the OP soon, including some definitions for Classic+ sets (I added a quick one but it needs some correction). A lot of the common questions asked are answered there, but there is also a lot of info. I’ll maybe FAQ at the very top or something.

I also agree that linking to rules in a signature is nicer where possible, but it can also have downsides – like when there is an update or change and someone posts a set for you using the previous version of your rules, which are now gone. So I will likely stick to posting my rules as I go, linking back until there is a change worth making a new post.

Okay, some thoughts on how I do things before I go and refresh the game’s OP.

I’ve read more about the Classic+ sets, and interestingly they are something entirely new! Almost zero text and no continuity between pictures is how the game started, but the trend for picking certain triggers or having the set writer choose the triggers is something new. When the game started it was all just pictures, but usually deliberately chosen pics for the rules they would activate. The newer trigger system is more completely random than that.

So, for me there are Classic type sets with typically limited to no text and images that don’t have to follow any continuity or story. Whether rules based or trigger based doesn’t matter too much. Plus is just, anything added to that.

Then there are the familiar Story type sets where there tends to be text and/or continuity.

The two types aren’t really mutually exclusive though, more a sliding scale and sets can integrate sections of both. Anyway, I think I can get all that across in the OP pretty easily.

It sounds like for most a fully Classic type set is much quicker to put together than a Story set. I’m probably the odd one out in this, as I’d guess picking images is about 75% of my time spent on any set. Hell, one of the reasons I started writing more story like sets highlighting certain girls is they were faster and easier for me to make when I could use sets of photos and give orders instead of finding the exact right image to hit 5 rules at once.

So, the main question – for tracking activity in the game, how should I count Classic vs Story sets? I agree straightforward Classic sets will generally be less work than the usual Story set to make for most. But this isn’t universally true. There’s also the trouble of where the line between Classic and Story sits. Is a written intro of 5 images then 40 random ones Classic? What if it’s 15 – 30? Just examples, but you get the idea.

Options I can think of:
1) Continue to just count any set as a set. We all know not every set is the same amount of work, and my focus has always been to encourage any and all contribution rather than worrying over exact parity. I wish I had a fair way to credit sets that take more work, but I can’t think of one. Open to ideas there.

2) Keep a separate count for Classic sets. But I would need a way to definitively categorize what counts as Classic, preferably without having to count images/review every single set.

3) Not count Classic sets at all. I know they were done on a trade basis so far. But same question of what is or isn’t Classic stands.

4) Separate thread for Classic sets. Doable, but seems like it shouldn’t be needed and I don’t want to make this game feel even more like it is only for big huge story sets.

5) More out there idea, but might work. Classic sets count as 1 set created but not as a set received (or maybe 0.5 set received?). This would encourage people to make them, others get to have fun being teased but aren’t pushed back down the list for a more involved set.

That’s what I have for now, definitely want to hear what everyone thinks on this.

Roger THAT! Put your edging "target numbers" in your rules (seems like "50-80" for a "weekday set" and 100-150 for a nice "weekend challenge") to help people to get the "correct set size" for you. Also, ask them to state the overall length so that way you can know if you can play it during the week or if you will need to budget more time ...

*I* do this and make it a conscious point, but ... probably most people don't ... PARTLY, probably, because they forget, and then PARTLY because they want it to be a surprise, but ... now that we know the ballpark numbers for you—should help to get the set lengths correct for you!

In the set Emily said scripting the game isn't actually really a game.

She's technically correct, of course, and she said that because she's smart!

But, scripted sets are mostly what people do, but ... I don't really care. And you can roll things "randomly" and ACTUALLY role things randomly, or, you can fudge the roles to get the outcome you want; I'm FINE with either!

First of all I wanted to give people a little guidance on what type of women I like.

This is ALWAYS a good idea!

That's fine, I get that. The intention of me adding OF girls and celebrities to my favorite list wasn't for them to be featured in any roleplay. ... And secondly, these make great one-of pictures to be included in the game gallery.

People will OFTEN make an effort to find you particular pics. Maybe mention in parentheses that they can be hard to source to use as a host but make great additions to the "game gallery."

The game isn't finished until there is only one picture - or none - left. There is no "winning" with multiple pictures remaining. You don't just choose a certain amount of triggers and see what is left afterwards. You keep playing with randomized order until only one picture is left or you are denied.

Oh-kaaaaayyy ... I see that now!

korashar uses it for his random "trigger wheel" when playing Classic+ sets. (Others have also used it a lot for various tasks/triggers. ) It's less work for the user than using random.org/lists or something similar to figure things out ...

I would create a "default" one (whatever you typically use when you play your game), and post it in your rules. Then, you can tell people they can create their own version or decide on their own what the rolls/order of triggers will be. Having a "ready-to-go" sample will give people a better idea of what you do/how your games works. Also, for people who are lazy (or in a hurry), they can just use the one you have instead of taking time to generate their own. This will make sets VASTLY simpler to make for you.

Your game, actually, would lend itself VERY WELL to the "Classic+" genre of set. Once someone understands the rules, they can grab 30-50 photos easy-peasy and craft you a set. Knowing what I know now, I could probably make you one in about 15 minutes easy.

Self aware also maybe was the wrong word. Outside information fits a lot better.

One of my characters *is* "self-aware", but ... Yeah, "outside information" is VERY GOOD when writing custom teases! It adds to the immersion and gives the player a sense he is interacting with a person who "knows" him ...

I actually know this webtease, I loved it! It was in fact one of my first ever webteases many years ago.

It's funny ... The VERY FIRST tease I ever wrote featured Emily Bloom. I wrote it in GuideMe for myself. (At THAT time, it may have even been "TeaseMe"—"GuideMe"'s predecessor.) Unfortunately, I never published it and it got deleted, but ... it was a NICE little 40 minute guided experience with Emily ...

One thought I instantly had on this while playing was maybe bonus triggers the way you used them should be mixed with the multipliers - and maybe I could find another name for that aswell. I want to keep the two different kinds of triggers, one for pictures with a single woman and a seperate one for pictures featuring multiple women. I really like this, these usually are the kinds of triggers screwing you over big time when fully randomizing the order.

So for example, the current triggers stay as is but this new unnamed rule makes one (or perhaps more than one?) trigger apply to all pictures, regardless if they get eliminated or not. Just while writing this I notice it sounds very confusing, but I'll try to testplay this concept and come back with a clearer description.

I'm invested in helping you to figure this out, lol!

Okay, so ... you have:

• "Elimination triggers" which are rolled for every round, and they "eliminate pictures" as their name suggests.

• "Bonus triggers" which are "bonus" or "extra." They do not eliminate pictures and trigger each time the condition is met while you are going through pictures during a round. "Bonus triggers" can persist throughout the entire game (causing you to edge multiple times for the same picture across several rounds), be added after a particular round, and/or be rolled for randomly each round. Edges from bonus triggers stack with other types of triggers (either additively or multiplicatively depending on your preference).

• "Multi-static" triggers are chosen before the game begins and persist throughout the entire game. They stack however you like, and you can decide that the "multi" bonus is for "each woman" or ONLY a bonus that procs whenever multiple women are featured in the same picture.

I like when the name of something tells you what it is, lol. So, "mult-static" is a static bonus the stays from round to round and only applies for pics featuring multiple women ... THAT is how *I* would handle THAT! ... but feel free to try something else.

• "Multipliers" are by default any person on your favorites list but can also be added at any time as a "multiplier" for a category.

THAT is how I would define the triggers and do it! If it was ME, I would say all triggers stack additively, and THEN the "multipliers" are applied at the end ... but, you do it HOWEVER you want.

Bottom line, the person creating the set doesn't "have to" know EXACTLY what is going on with your rules. SO many times I have written sets for people with convoluted rules that I don't quite understand. In those cases, I try to "get the gist," and then it is up to THEM to figure out what is going on and how many edges to do. Their complicated rules are NOT MY PROBLEM! AND ... if they DON'T have any clear "edging limits", then ALL THE BETTER! Most of the time, those guys WANT to do a LOT of edges anyway, so ... it's fine. People who care more about NOT doing too many edges USUALLY have simpler rules where the edge triggers are simple and clearly defined.

If I were you, I would add a little section for "Classic+ Sets" in your rules and just say the person should pick X number of pictures, grab a few pics from a few categories on the wheel (or as many as they want or at least one pick from each category if they want to increase your chances of cumming [I THINK that is correct. My brain is starting to get tired from all of this THINKING and WRITING! ]), and then just let you figure out the rest—if they aren't quite sure what is going on.

Obviously, someone who is more invested and/or knows or wants to learn your rules or write you a "traditional set" that features your rules will take a more hands-on approach, but ... it's usually best to try to remove AS MANY BARRIERS AS YOU CAN for people trying to write sets for you! So, a short 3-4 sentence long set of instructions in a "Classic+ Set" section in your rules will go a LONG WAY towards helping you to get sets, which ... if you want sets, then send out a few "Classic+ Sets", and you'll probably get some back sooner than later ...

I also agree that linking to rules in a signature is nicer where possible, but it can also have downsides – like when there is an update or change and someone posts a set for you using the previous version of your rules, which are now gone.

That is a VERY good point I didn't consider. I, personally, keep ALL old versions of my rules saved to my hard drive, and I don't update too frequently, so ... NOT an issue for me, but ... yeah, for someone who changes things around, it COULD be an issue ...

... and the only POSSIBLE issue I might have is if I JUST SO HAPPENED to update my rules WHILE someone was writing, but ... when I came back, I noticed a few people (Ecik and korashar) where doing that, and I was like, "Wow! That is SO smart! "

Finding the most up-to-date set of rules can sometimes be tough, and THEN you have to remember to MANUALLY copy/paste it into your most recent posts, so ... I was VERY excited about this "quality of life" change!

I’ve read more about the Classic+ sets, and interestingly they are something entirely new! Almost zero text and no continuity between pictures is how the game started, but the trend for picking certain triggers or having the set writer choose the triggers is something new. When the game started it was all just pictures, but usually deliberately chosen pics for the rules they would activate. The newer trigger system is more completely random than that.

Here I thought there was "nothing new under the sun" when it came to teases on this thread ... How many times have I come up with a "new" idea only to find out later that someone else had already done and tried it YEARS ago! So, finding out we have created something truly "new" is kind of exciting!

The two types aren’t really mutually exclusive though, more a sliding scale and sets can integrate sections of both. Anyway, I think I can get all that across in the OP pretty easily.

Yesssss ... THIS. I think that is EXACTLY correct. ... and SO many times I have followed Ecik's example and made a "hybrid" "Classic+Story" set and just padded it out with additional pictures ... SUCH a time saver!

You have great taste, and you do a GOOD JOB of selecting sets that REALLY do the women justice. There are MANY photo sets on pornpics.com that are "just okay," but ... as men, we like looking at naked ladies, so ... like pizza, even when it's pretty bad, it's STILL "pretty good."

I ALSO think it comes down to personal set writing "style." For me, I SUPER get into the writing, so ... I spend a LOT of time focused on that. I OFTEN write entire scripts/scenes FIRST, and THEN I try to find a photo set that "sort of works" with what I am going for, but ... if YOU *really* enjoy that process of selecting photos, then ... yeah, then it is NOT a chore ... just like *I* enjoy writing, and then THAT part of set creation is not a chore for me.

Hell, one of the reasons I started writing more story like sets highlighting certain girls is they were faster and easier for me to make when I could use sets of photos and give orders instead of finding the exact right image to hit 5 rules at once.

For me, I think having a "ready made" character you can just insert into sets makes the writing process WAY easier, but ... yeah, I wouldn't have figured writing stories was YOUR "timer saver!"

So, the main question – for tracking activity in the game, how should I count Classic vs Story sets? I agree straightforward Classic sets will generally be less work than the usual Story set to make for most. But this isn’t universally true. There’s also the trouble of where the line between Classic and Story sits. Is a written intro of 5 images then 40 random ones Classic? What if it’s 15 – 30? Just examples, but you get the idea.

That is a FANTASTIC question I didn't even think of ...

My gut says, "Don't count it." A set is a set—and it is like you said: a well-crafted Classic+ set can take EVEN LONGER than a story set depending on how much time you spend selecting pictures, defining tasks, designing/writing down "game elements", and trying to select "edge triggers" that match the chosen pictures ... Those Classic+ sets I linked in my "history" post pretty much (except for Drool's—which was MEANT to be "quick and dirty") ALL had LARGE amounts of time invested either in terms of design or picture selection.

We need to follow Gimli's advice on this:


Keep it SIMPLE. It will NEVER be "fair."

If someone sends me a story set that I think is "low effort," then, I will send them a "low effort" one back —probably either VERY rushed or with a LOT of "no text" filler pictures.

And remember, it was korashar who invented the "Classic+" genre. It was about STYLE for him as much as it was about set creation length. Stories basically don't do a lot for him. He recently told me he is a "skip the cut scenes type of guy" when he plays video games, so ... I think that style is as much a part of it as time is ...

And Ecik and I have been having a LOT of fun in the past few months sending back and forth SHORT little story mini-sets—like 1 or 2 scenes ... and that has been SUPER fun, so ... You CAN send "short" story sets back and forth, and ... it has been pretty great, because we have a nice little "cooperative story" going on!

For me, I can "rush" and find 30-50 pictures and have them posted in 30 minutes or less—probably—but ... a 4 scene story set is probably 2 hours minimum, and 1 hour if I ABSOLUTELY RUSHED, which ... MOST LIKELY, I will spend 1 hour on each "scene" so ... yeah, if you get a Classic+ set from ME, *I* am probably going to send you something "quick and dirty" hoping to get something back which is ALSO "quick and dirty" in terms of time. But if someone is going to spend TIME on a set for me, I would rather it be a "story" than a "Classic+" style—as I get a LOT of enjoyment from those, but ... sometimes, I get TOO CAUGHT UP in the plots, lol, and feel the need to respond, which ... I suppose that is a SEPARATE problem, but ... yeah, to answer your question:

"That still only counts as one!"

People will respond with something they feel is appropriate. If somebody gets busy and sends out 8 Classic+ sets in one day—to every active player—let him, and let it count. If they are low effort, then people will send back low time investment sets back as well ... and MORE activity is probably better than LESS activity, so ... Don't worry about "making it fair." We can trust people to make that determination on their own ...

... and we can also do some "self policing." If you think your set is too short and shouldn't count—then label it a "mini set." Then, so long as you don't see "mini", then just count it in the count. Mostly, the "active players board" is just there to help players figure out who to target with sets, so ... If someone gets busy and spams simple Classic+sets, sure, the numbers might get inflated, but ... who cares. People generally give back what they get, so ... it'll be FINE.

And I WOULD say that people should ALSO use the #Clas$ic+set tag [intentional misspell] when they post it—just so people are aware what they are getting or in case they want to play the classic+ sets of others ... and again, that label has probably more to do with STYLE than it does—necessarily—with time/effort to generate the set.

These are some great suggestions and believe it or not, we actually came up with some of the same names and concepts independently.

I'm not surprised ... Your background is in a technical field—as is mine. There are usually only so many viable ideas within a given solution space, that coming up with independent solutions is quite common.

As I said, your upcoming set is going to incorporate a lot of my new rules and I think from their I will see how I like them and can adjust accordingly.

"Iterative design improvements", but ... You started off with a GREAT idea! As with anything, however, it's difficult to perfect by yourself. Even Einstein had help with his theory of General Relativity. This isn't THAT —but workshopping an idea with others almost always results in a better product. If set writing ever feels like a chore, you probably should take a break. The WHOLE POINT of this thread is diversion. Always "try to have fun with it."

One thing I thought of but forgot to mention earlier, is that one of the things *I* do when writing sets for other people is look through their favorites list. If he has a model I think is really pretty or we have a shared favorite, then I will often use that lady, because I know that *I* will enjoy creating the set.

You don't have to like or necessarily understand the kinks of the player that you are writing for. AND ... most people on here are fine with "vanilla" content ... and most enjoy "games", so ... if you ONLY write "vanilla" sets, people will be FINE with that ... and, if you enjoy your game, then you can write more sets for people that focus on introducing them to that. Bottom line: "have FUN with it!"

Here are some sets I made during these last days. It's hard to know the actual size because you count them by edges, but they can vary depending on some other factor in each set. So I made an approximation.

Hey! Sorry. Didn't notice your post before mine, I actually left it open for quite a while before sending. But here's my take on it.

I’ve read more about the Classic+ sets, and interestingly they are something entirely new! Almost zero text and no continuity between pictures is how the game started, but the trend for picking certain triggers or having the set writer choose the triggers is something new.

I think the triggers is a more personal rule thing that everyone embraced than the way it should be played. I called them Classic+ at first because I just wanted an ending with videos or special task other than the 100% picture no text set. So I agree in part, Classic is just pictures, zero text, no continuity. Classic+ is the same with video or task ending. Triggers are a type of rule which most people embraced as a fun way to play these.

It sounds like for most a fully Classic type set is much quicker to put together than a Story set. I’m probably the odd one out in this, as I’d guess picking images is about 75% of my time spent on any set.

I do spend a lot of time picking images too... I mean, I used to. When I was creating story sets I always searched for high res pictures, hell, I even used private porn trackers once or twice just to find the pictures I wanted. But part of the initial Classic+ proposal was to ALSO make it more inviting to people not spend much time searching pictures. So, for me, text only and no continuity came with the purposeful side-effect of letting me quickly find pictures. It's like "find pictures quick" is part of my creator's rules of classic sets. Sets with stories make me do some crazy search... Like trying to find a full high res 80+ gallery of a girl with 2 flowers names in her name in a lesbian scene with another girl that also had a Flower name in her name (Damn Ecik and his special rules )... That kind of thing (which I usually do when writing continuity), take a lot of time. Far more than any Classic+ I dare to make.

So, the main question – for tracking activity in the game, how should I count Classic vs Story sets?

I saw that coming, and that's a damn good question. Which now, after reading all the post, I think has a very simple answer: Keep it as it is (Option 1).

I for example am in a moment which I almost posted that I'm "Active for classic+" only because I don't want to write stories nor disappoint people when they write something for me and I don't feel like writing good stories back

But this isn’t universally true. There’s also the trouble of where the line between Classic and Story sits. Is a written intro of 5 images then 40 random ones Classic? What if it’s 15 – 30? Just examples, but you get the idea.

I get where you're coming from. For me, is a clear difference because of my thought process and how I create them. But this definitely can't be used to define those sets for others. So yeah, it's not simple, there's a lot of room.

In my mind, a lot of it revolves around the fact that the one expect to receive the same type of set one wrote for a person. There's a kind of gentlemen agreement here. We don't need proper definitions, if we somehow respect this. It was already like this I guess... Some people write more, some people create shorter sets, etc. The thing is, I proposed the new Classic+ because I didn't want to create stories sets. Perhaps here lies a good point: How do we communicate what we are available or not to write for others? I myself feared some people's rule here, hoping they would never write something for me because I found their rules too hard, complex or simply not for me.

Given all that. I think your Option 1) is on point. This is the one IMO.

We all did that before. We don't need a way to measure which set had more or less work put on it. The trade is one person to one person. There's the silently and respectful agreement in which people tend to return sets on similar "work" level. I sincerely don't think the sets received X created are relevant, and so far I've been trading sets here and there pretty well. Sets are Sets. One can write its expectations in its own rules. It's a matter of making things clear. I, for example, would feel bad if someone made me a rich story set, and I answered with a classic plus, I would feel like I need to write that person something more than random pictures. That's why if I went back right now I would express in my rules that I'm not creating story sets. I think in a general level we should not worry over parity, but in the individual level, during the "trade" moment, I think everyone tries to find a little bit of parity. It's a good neighborhood policy.

For me, let it be! Leave it as it is and people will deal with it. New people will find it easier to join, and those who are here longer can talk and trade with each other. I've had private conversations about set creation with most of you.

2) and 3) seems unnecessary.
4) seems counterproductive.

So, to summarize, I would go for option 1). We keep thing as they are. If later, people create X types of set because of their rules. Idk #Gifonlyset... They are sets nonetheless. Those are just tags to help and should be based on the receiver rules.
