I know that. In such case, usebenbron wrote: Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:40 am Had a FattsDynamo set ready. Clicked "Submit" and my account had been logged out during the writing. Everything was lost.![]()
Lesson learned: Save draft while writing in the future. A pro tip for everyone.
I'll start over on the set for Fatts, but not today, as I'm mostly pissed off right now. Also busy for the next few days, so not sure when it'll be ready. I'm so sorry.
Second advice: before clicking Submit button, select all (Ctrl+A) and copy it (Ctrl+C). You're always rescued, because you can log in once again and paste (Ctrl+V) into new post immediately and publish it. The best solution I tend to do.
Also good to make a copy in some notepad, especially if you want to finish it later.
You're absolutely right, this editor here is too clumsy for writing set.FattsDynamo wrote: Sun Apr 14, 2024 5:48 am One tool that I use which has been VERY helpful is Zerg's Google Sheets template, the link to which can be found on the second post of the HMCP thread:As far as I know, Microsoft Excel will not hotlink images from the Internet into spreadsheets. However, Google Sheets will. If you have a Google account, you can access Google Drive. Go to the above link and save a copy of it for yourself. Then, you can use that template. In the first column, you can paste image links. In the second column, you type the text you want to go with the picture. Then, in the third column, the picture will display. This allows you to quickly see the text you are typing paired up with the picture. Then, you can click on the "Export" sheet tab at the bottom. Copy and paste the entire column of cells into the forum post editor and preview. The fourth and fifth columns will allow you to add spoilers, but ... I usually just put these in manually ...Helequin wrote: Fri Nov 23, 2018 12:04 am Spreadsheets for Making Sets
You can use the excellent google doc at this link to help format sets much faster than typing into the forum edit box. Credit to Zerg for developing this and FattsDynamo for keeping it alive:

I use this ALL THE TIME when making sets, and MAN ... is it a HUGE time saver ... because it lets you see what you are doing and does all of the [i/mg] stuff for you ...
Helequin prefers to use Excel for his template. Of course, I think I mostly use Pornpics to source pics, which, that site allows hotlinking and I've never seen it give dead links, which ... you gotta be careful, because some sites do not allow hotlinking and subtly change gallery URL addresses ... and, I'm pretty sure Hele sources higher quality images and downloads them onto his PC before uploading to a separate image hosting site, which ... that takes more work, but ... you get higher quality pics, lol ... but, since I am okay with the lower quality and enjoy the ease of use of Pornpics.com, I just always use Zerg's template ... and it is GREAT ... It is almost worth getting a Google account JUST to use Sheets and the template, IMO, lol!Can LITERALLY cut your set development time in half versus using NO template and *just* the Milovana post editor
...
I hope to find enough time to play it soon. I'm so happy, twice, to hear positive feedback on my previous sets.
