I have always been a huge fan of your work! But I feel like I gotta say.. the glitchiness in Rikki's session is bordering on unplayable. I don't mean to be harsh. Maybe it's just me. But after trying twice, and even just trying to click through without actually playing (free up some mental bandwidth for keeping track of those edge words, lol) I end up stuck in loops, jumped backward, confused, and unsure if I messed up the count, or if a glitch bumped me back.
She's such a great character, and such a scary and intense session, so it's a huge shame to feel like I can't get through her session.
I'm not sure I fully understand the technical problem under the hood, but maybe the answer is splitting up the sections into smaller chunks, one or two sentences at a time? And the continue button is always visible. When you hit continue, she gives immediate feedback if you messed up your count and bounces you back, or tells you got it right. No idea if that kind of thing would fix it.
Indeed. Having the best session in one of the best teases so fundamentally broken was bothering me as well ever since I've played it for the first time year ago. The intensity and suspense is of the chart, but the bugs rendered it unplayable and broke the immersion. Because Shattered seems to have given up on fixing it, I've decided to create a private clone of the tease and try to fix it for myself.
After about 3 hours of work (without any prior experience with EOS), I was able to fix all the major issues (unexpected loops, unexpected jumps forward when clicking notification buttons, showing/hiding of notification buttons, broken edge counters) and to clean up any additional problems I've found within the session (some content was clearly duplicated unitentionally, while some clearly expected content would never be shown in practice). Then I tested various passthroughs via the scenario (including when player fails or makes wrong choices) to make sure I haven't introduced new bugs.
Then, after I've finally played the whole session how it was likely envisioned by Shattered and how it was likely meant to be played (without glitches and without interrupted immersion), I've realized it would be a pity not to share it with the community somehow. I've sent a PM to Shattered with the fixed script, so that he can review, further adjust and perhaps update the official public version. I could also attach it here so that people with accounts can create their own private clones, but I won't do it without Shattered's approval.

- There is 8 occurences of incorrectly copy-pasted gotos in last Edge button notification looping from 1Rikki-18, 1Rikki-19, 1Rikki-22, 1Rikki-23 back to 1Rikki-18 (likely unintentionally copy-pasted from 1Rikki-17).
- Due to EOS limitations, clicking Edge button notifications unitentionally force-advances the scenario within the same page (including skipping any choice buttons). To fix, pages 1Rikki-6, 1Rikki-16, 1Rikki-19 and 1Rikki-20 must be each split into 2 subpages along the choice button boundary and the choice buttons must be replaced with a notification buttons.
- Edge notification buttons should not be visible during edge holding in Rikki's session (to avoid skipping timers and players confusion).
- Some edge holding in Rikki's session does not increment the edge counters.
- The edge counter variable rikkiedge is often mis-spelled as RikkiEdge, mainly in all Edge button notifications that are supposed to increment it.
- Page 1Rikki-21-2 duplicates the content already present in 1Rikki-20, should be removed.
- On 1Rikki-6, it is impossible to edge twice before advancing, so player always gets negative reaction. Can be also fixed by splitting the page into 2 subpages.
- Page 1Rikki-8 contains some duplicated content from 1Rikki-7 ("Like I'd care. The edges are your job ..."). Should be cleaned up.
