E-stim with DG-LAB?

Post by Johnumber3 »

I’ve been seeing e-drum’s posted on here forever now, so I tried to jump into the game.

I may have acted rashly I guess, cause I bought a DG-Lab and I have no idea how to make the e-stim files that are shared in here all the time.

Does anyone know how to set it up? Any advice? Is there hope? Am I screwed (but not by electricity)?

The best way to use estim mp3 files on the DG-Lab Coyote is to use xToys (either the app or the website) as it allows stereo audio files to be used so left channel will play on Channel A and the right channel on Channel B.
Let xToys control the bluetooth connection to the Coyote and use the System Audio function. That will allow audio from your phone or PC/Laptop be sent to the Coyote via bluetooth. Then use a player such as VLC to play the estim mp3 file.

I personally use a small laptop with Windows 10 and the xToys.app website in Chrome with VLC to playback the estim mp3 files and its been great. To get System Audio to work on a PC, you do need to install a Chrome Extension and the link to it appears on the xToys site when you select System Audio.

Bear in mind that most of the estim mp3 files here are designed for DIY stereostim boxes which do not process the audio signals so the sensations will feel different from their original intention on the Coyote due to the signal processing that takes place on it. It still feels good and adds a whole new dimension to the Coyote compared to just using the DG-Labs app.
