VLSync Media Player

Post by satn00b »

The company of a friend of mine recently published a software named VLSync https://binarypark.org/en/vlsync

The software can play video, the sound track of the video and another audio track (cock hero estim track for example) at the same time on different audio devices. Basically like CHPlayer but video plays in its own window (instead of VLC) and you can skip forward, backwards and it keeps synced! You can also add a delay to the audio track.

I tried it out with my multiple videos (e.g. "E-stim Fantasy", "PEP9", "CH-Binary State" and more) and their estim tracks and it works perfectly out of the box. This feels so great with my DIY stim box!

If someone wants to try the software I am allowed to give my copy to a limited number of people for testing and review purposes. PM me if you are interested.

//update: version 1.0.1 is out now

Hi all,

I requested a copy (which I received), but my antivirus is twitchy and says it's a virus.
Can anyone (who isn't the person asking me to try it out) vouch for it not being a virus?

There's a famous latin saying:
In anti-virus we trust!

For this one, the source code is not available so this always raises red flags for me. Also, that binarypark doesn't have such a long history for a product unrelated to the rest of the website.

If your video is too fat, there's a solution!

The generated output of your video editor may be bloated, too big for not any significant benefit. One thing you can do is use HANDBRAKE with the H.264 (x264), RF18 Constant Quality and Web Optimized / Fast Start options, all other options by default. You'd be surprised how smaller the video becomes, without any impact to the quality.

Interesting for further details about the process.

As a developer myself, I actually suspect it's not a virus, and they're just after some feedback, but I don't trust it enough to install it if the scanner says it's sus. My scanner says everything is sus though... :-/

Thanks to feedback from eismann12 (thank you!) over at socialstim the developers were able to fix some bugs and they are now providing a downloadable demo on their page. Everybody now can try the software for free :)

The false positive may come from size reduction methods used (zipping). Some scanners are allergic to that. You can try the demo, or use any online scanner https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/e92 ... /detection 2 of 64 scanners report it there, too.

The developers published a new version of the demo, packed with a different alogorithm (that's why it's bigger now) and this time no virus is found. To be clear: there was never a virus, just some scanners acting up.

Just got an email from the developers I wanted to share with you guys.
VLSync v1.0.1 just arrived

Dear customer,

we just published an update to out VLSync software. Version 1.0.1 fixes some bugs (mainly an issue with the volume being at 50 percent max) and introduces a new feature: if the audio-only file is located on the network (for example on a NAS), VLSync will now download that file to the local file system before playing it. This should greatly improve user experience when playing audio and video from a network source simultaneously.

As a customer, you will be receiving this update for free. You can download the new version at

xxx or xxx

Please don't share the download link. Thank you.

Regards,

Your team at Binarypark LLC.

The NAS feature was my request to them (I play a lot of files from my NAS and it bugged always having to copy stim mp3s to the hard drive and then to select them from different folders), happy to see they delivered :-)
