I honestly don't know if this was ever suggested before, i couldn't find anything similar on a forum search. But wouldn't it be great to have a ranking of the most popular teases since the beginning of Milovana? I assume that winning the 'Tease of the month' is already a big deal for most creators, and by all means it should continue, but i think it has it's issues. Creators could get (and actually have gotten) this prestigious title simply by lack of other teases in that category for that month. At other times, there were 2 or 3 extremely well made teases, but obviously only 1 could win, which i assume caused some frustration for the creators that were second or third place.
I think it would be a nice way to show some love for the work that has been done over all those years and honor those that did exceptionally well. Unfortunately, by it's nature, it is a little hard to figure out how we would go about creating this ranking. I would find it lazy and unaccurate to just go with the teases of the month and rank them by rating and views...allthough it would be the easiest way. I personally thought more along the lines of everyone giving let's say his 5 most loved teases. I think it is necessary that everyone needs to pick several teases and not just a single pick. If everyone just picks his 1 most liked tease, it might very well happen that we wouldn't be able to rank them at all since so much teases would have just one vote (as i expect only a mild participation, but who knows). If everyone manages to give a list of 5 entries, the chances of multiple votes for a specific tease increases greatly. Oh boy, i hope you all can follow me so far.
I would like to include teases, that got deleted from Milovana...well simply because in my Top 5 happens to be one that no longer exists here, and i don't really see a reason to not include them still. And i would say, if it is a tease compiled of several parts or sequels, we should count it as one singular entry to the ranking for simplicity. Like that, the votes are less likely to be even more diluted/spread out. The ranking could look roughly like this:
1. "Name of Tease" by "Author of the Tease" Votes: (how many times got this tease picked in everyones Top 5)
2. "Name of Tease-series" by "Author of the Tease" Votes:
and so on
We could even put the URL to the Tease and Author in it if we want to be extra fancy.
Unless someone comes up with an incredibly smarter way to go about this, i would like to just start and see if it gets picked up....or if it dies as an awkward thread about my personal top five teases on here
. Should i get enough entrys to actually build a ranking, i will edit everything onto the top of this post. I think, i will put the Teases with only 1 vote so far at the end of the list, sorted alphabetically. I post my 5 picks (oh well the number 5 is up for debate by the way, for me it just sounds the most reasonable) in a seperate post.
