Vote on Edging

This question is inspired by some excellent tease work, both current & historic, which I'm trying to understand.
Is it common, rare, or pure fantasy; to have the power to hold back?

There's definately no catch all answer, I get feedback back to back saying someones favourite part is the amount of edging then the next person says its too many :)

It's really up to individual experience level and technique. Some people can spend hours repeatedly edging (getting into the high hundreds), whereas some people can only do a few. Those who enjoy edging and do it frequently probably are more experienced and in tune with their body, and know just when to stop before going over. Another piece of the puzzle is just how close you get.. if you are try to get as close as possible every single time (ie slowing down and drawing it out), then you'll probably hit a limit sooner rather than later.

Personally, I can edge repeatedly for an hour or so.. but I use more of a rapid-fire technique. None of them are too close (probably a few strokes away from pushing over), and I'll take short 2-3 second breaks in between edges. It's probably more akin to repeatedly coming close to the edge. But I personally enjoy the sensation, and there's no "wrong" way to do something, as long as you enjoy it.

This is definitely something that is intensely personal, and can change with time and experience. For years I mostly lurked on Milo, and played a little with T&D. I did enjoy many webteases.

Then I finally got a little more involved with some of the forum games, particularly those Noah wrote. At that point in time I found 20-30 edges in a session quite intense, and when those games pushed me to edge 50 or 75 times it was a whole new level of horny.

And now thanks to certain other games and RL experience, I've had tease sessions go well over 300 edges. I often now think of somewhere around 100+ edges getting intense. But really, it depends. I've been left far more desperate from 50 edges in a very well crafted tease that hit all my buttons than just being made to edge 200 times one after another ever could.

As for too many or losing control...any edge has that potential. Yes, I tend to have pretty good control now but rarely I'll just make a mistake or be so horny I'll just lose control after a handful of edges. Other times I'm not 100% sure how I didn't cum, but somehow I held back.

In terms of writing teases, this is one the trickiest things. Unless you are writing something personalized for one person, it's going to be impossible to make the edging a similar intensity for everyone who plays through it.

I can edge and hold back from cumming with no issue, but do have an issue with teases where there's one edge and then it continues to ask for more edges without a gap between where I can work myself up again. This is especially the case where there is no visual or text content to stay engaged, I won't reach an edge and I will get turned off if I click on something after an edge and it asks to edge again and again with no other content between.

Hmm, some good feedback so far.

It definitely is about someones personal level, hence why I gave such a broad scale in the vote.
I'm surprised such a high percentage feel they can last for hundreds+ in a session.

I feel this would only be the case for me if I was forced to by a partner.
Self control being key, but I would naturally be loosing control the longer I was pushing myself solo.
(Hence the final point in my vote title, being genuinely horny throughout)

If to stay in the game I have to only half-edge, to not reach the peak, then somehow that feels like cheating the spirit of the tease.
But we do want to complete a tease, not just jump in, fail and move on. So what to do?

As to Helequin's point, there was a time I could handle less, but practice gives back some control. Very true.

Interesting. For me I find I can edge less with a partner than playing a tease. Although this is probably down to it being much more difficult to edge someone else precisely than yourself. If she was ordering me to edge for her instead of doing it to me I would guess it would feel closer to a tease situation.

Breaks between edges are again personal. I can edge one after another fairly quickly, at least once worked up. One thing I've seen in some teases which I never understood was a command to edge, 5-10s break and then the tease expects me to start stroking fast without edging again. If I'm supposed to not edge, I either need more time or to slow down for a bit.

As for poll results, I will say there's no option between dozens (makes me think 24-36, maybe 48) and hundreds. I voted hundreds because for me it will usually be somewhere past 100 or 200 edges. So on the low end of that option haha.

i often find myself with 2 moods when it comes to edging. first, when i get into the habbit of cumming at least every other day, i can edge, and edge, but my upper limit before im more desperate and weak tends to be 50-100 edges before i give in. with this, my edging sessions which last anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half will inevitably end in me probably accidentally tipping over, getting too horny to properly hold back and ruin my orgasm, and stroke myself untill im done
other times, when my mind and body are in the denial mindset, and ive denied myself for at least 4 days, i can ramp that number up quite high, where my main limit is actually how long i can stay hard, rather than how many edges or how long i can hold an edge. the point to where if theres not at peast partially constant edging, ill start to go a little soft. at this point, its a coin toss to when i want to cum or not... unless someone is flipping the coin for me, of course!
often times, with both moods, i start with trying to do periodic edges, but i end up losing control and try to basically stay on the edge, as close to the edge as i can, for as long as i can, untill my will gives out, or my dick does

so half the time, i can go indefinitly, and the other half of the time, im in the high dozens or very low hundereds. sometimes, theres even a mood where i can only edge 1-5 times before i NEED to cum.... so its more of how im feeling on that day than it is a bodily limit
