This one is a bit vague and over smoothed, but struggling to make anything like this showing what is happening with the audio over time like this
Thanks for your help

Re: Question - Waveform visual
Simplest way you could do that is open video in audacity and take a screenshot (could only cut out upper half of waveform), and then put it at bottom of screen, assuming video length matches that audio file length then video seeker (from player) would show where you are without need to animate anything. You could also play it there and capture that to put as overlay in video with the pointer for current position.
If you don't have the audio file, you would have to first capture it (i.e. if making such video I assume author captured the output of estim audio card to a file that he used later to generate overlay).

Hey, thanks for this. Audacity is the only idea I have right now for this, but isn't quite as neat a visual as the one in the video.edger477 wrote: Sun Jan 15, 2023 4:38 pm Simplest way you could do that is open video in audacity and take a screenshot (could only cut out upper half of waveform), and then put it at bottom of screen, assuming video length matches that audio file length then video seeker (from player) would show where you are without need to animate anything.
