I'm not a native English speaker, so there may have some grammar mistakes. And I made a txt to explain all the key word and some mechanism, so please check it first.
I'll be very happy if you enjoy it!

It has been a while since my last update, so today I'm here to post an expanded version of the game, including up to 762 cards.
There are some new effects and ways to stroke, but the main new type of cards included are items. Those cards give the option to counter effects and other things by paying a price, giving the player different choices against cards.
This file includes all cards up to date sorted by sets:
https://mega.nz/file/CdwlAZiS#sKVSve2xb ... YtDADzcnlg

I can provide the file with all the cards unsorted if someone prefers it that way.

I've been quite disconnected so I haven't had the time to check the new cards that you have posted, just downloaded all the files and willing to test them. I just want to thank you for sharing the content!

I like the idea of the Stay keyword, I will be using it from now on.

I'll try to update more consistently, and expect a major release the following week!

First things first, I really love this game.

Would it be possible to share the source pics for the cards (official and community created), I would really appreciate it.

@Necroman
I really like the full image cards but its kind of hard to read them.

And if anyone could share their deck lists I would really appreciate it, because I really suck at building good decks.

Keep up the good work!

I've noticed that there's a tendency to give cards a bunch of different effects, and I get the feeling that it gets really hard to keep track of really fast. I've tried my hand at custom MTG sets before, and while this isn't quite the same, I think I somewhat know how to make the player experience better/smoother.
With that in mind, I have a few guidelines for future cards:
1) Minimize visual clutter on the card. This is what I tried to do with the "stroke count in the P/T box", as the hope is that it communicates the information with minimal space and a lot of flexibility. You don't even need the word "strokes" because that's always where the stroke count goes.
2) Incorporate keywords. This kind of requires us to all agree on a certain set of keywords, which might be hard with a lot of card creators. But if we have a bunch of cards with well-known keywords, the process becomes much easier for the player.
I haven't combed through all the cards, but I think we can agree on:
Stay - This card remains on the field after being defeated.
Defend - Face the next card twice.
As for this keyword:
Baluart(?) - Face this card twice.
What does the word "baluart" mean? I looked it up and got... a software company? I'd probably want something like:
Repeat N - Face this card an additional N time(s). (Repeat 1 = twice ; Repeat 2 = three times, etc.)
3) The less your player has to keep track of things, the better. Stay cards are interesting, but if all of them have additional effects on the field then that's a lot more to keep track of. I'd suggest treating this by either adding cards that remove things from the field (for example "Choose a card in play to discard and add its base stroke count to this card") or by reducing the number of Stay cards that have their own persistent effects. Ideally I would have some cards that Stay, and cards without Stay that interact with the field, but that's just me.
4) Unrelated to the actual gameplay experience, but try your best to source your images where possible. I personally try to find the artist name (even if it's in Japanese) and put it in the Artist field, and copy-paste the URL to the original artwork in the "card notes" section in case I need to retrieve it later.
Anyway, I'm glad to see more activity here! This is a fun concept.
(and nobody's forced to listen to me - I'm just throwing my ideas in :-D )

Hello everyone!
I've been working on an implementation to this game, Lobster and notSafeForDev were a big inspiration so i wanted to code myself another version to this :-D .
Image
It includes MTF Champions mode so it has a game mode selector:
Image
In normal mode you can select the difficulty (number of cards that will be on the deck) and play!
Image
Image
Since im not a pro, some mechanics are missing, like flipping cards and more but i think is quite playable tho  !
MTF champions in my opinion was a great adition to a game like this and i think all the mechanics were implemented, you can see the boss card by clicking on the boss image and open a new window to see the cards bigger by clicking on them!
Image
Image
Maybe i can do a better explanation on how all it works in other post, but in the meantime you can try and see what you think :-)
Ohhh and since its all programmed in java, you need to have java installed!

Here is the link to download version 1.0.0: https://mega.nz/file/UYJhlLTD#GBXXbHjuL ... WQfmRwQgjY
Once downloaded and extracted just open MtF.jar and enjoy!

@Webnarlock
Your implementation of the game looks amazing, but whenever I try to run it returns "A Java Exception has occurred"

Also I have some new content to share for the challenge decks variant
Challenge deck #2: Crushing combo
https://mega.nz/file/qM5iELSa#6XUamqT1R ... mVc--Z5QIE
This deck uses the new Combo X keyword, the cards with these keyword have additional effects that only activate if you have X cards or more in your hand. Don't discard the cards of your hand until you have beat all of them.

I updated the original post with all the new links and content, and I created a discord server where all the content is sorted and will be updated as its created:

Hello! Thank you all for letting me know about this error. Apparently its because the java developer version compiles in a higher version than the normal java can execute, i think that its fixed now! Also i added a .exe please try both (.jar and .exe) to se if its working well and in posterior versions just use .exe files.

Here the corrected v1.0.1: https://mega.nz/file/gJIyXIBJ#y160O_G6I ... zD1WZXKYkA
