Currently my tease saves your current state of play every time you finish a page. It remembers where you are and a few dozen variables that tell it where you've been and what your current addiction states are, your name, your nickname, what you call your stepmother, and several other variables.grelgen wrote: Fri Oct 14, 2022 6:32 am there's nothing to save really? it's a tree with some randoms, right? Maybe if there was something to carry over from game to game, I'd think a save/load would be worth it, but your only real stat is your resistance, and you'd want that to reset each run.
That's why, if you log off and come back, you can resume the game where you left off or start a new game.
Once you finish a game, or choose to start a new one, all those settings are erased, but the game remembers how many times you've logged in and how many times you've finished. Eventually I hope to set things up so it remembers which specific endings you've gotten or at least can tell you how many of the endings you've seen.
So if I rewrote the save system, people playing an active game would likely lose their place and have to start from the beginning again, which might be a drag for some players.
