A little discussion, perhaps a moot point, but some nerds out there might enjoy it. I'm personally not sure that my Mega collection was targeted. I think it was simply that there were mutual links among my MANY free Mega accounts. My method was this: I created one account as the "master" account, to which I would upload or link-share any new file that I wanted to put into my sharing zones. After successful upload (which often required several attempts) I would then move the uploaded files from this "master" to whichever other Mega account still had space in it. Then, as each new free Mega account (aside from the "master") filled up, I created another new free account. Thus I felt that I was able to continually upload without much interruption. I had (and still have) limited bandwidth so this was a system I had concocted to allow me to get stuff onTO the cloud with minimal fuss, and only AFTER the upload would I sort it out into its permanent long-term storage residence. Helpful for overcoming my set-up's tech limitations. Also, helpful for organizing the collection, because at first I had intended to keep various series of CH together -- when a third "CH Big Wet Butts" comes out AFTER a second "CH Mystery" (or whatever; f.e.) I'd be able to shuffle out something from the zone where the first two "Big Wet Butts" resided, to make space for the third, by simply trading out some other files from one storage zone to another via the "master" account. But this method meant that there were a growing number of free accounts packed with huge amounts of data (the maximum free allotment) and all of them variously communicating among one another and sharing files. This wasn't as much (a) against the rules as (b) confusing and confounding to Mega's assumptions and system, since that service basically intends (at least abstractly speaking) to reduce online storage-space requirements by (among other tricks) only keeping one copy of any large file (identified by hash number etc.) and then allowing multiple users to access it via LINKAGE rather than by actual COPYING. If I had more bandwidth for upload, I'd simply create a new account to which I uploaded for each new file, without ever first moving things to a "master" account. And if I had more storage space, I'd simply put everything in one big bin rather than distributing it among a large number of sub-bins, but, I was a free user so I didn't have enough storage space for that. So, was my Mega collection TARGETED? No, probably not. Was it nevertheless gradually taken down because it was PROBLEMATIC for them? Yeah, I think so. Make sense?

Anyway, I'd also like to add, that I'm glad that the monetization discussion is going on, among people who need to engage in it (but I haven't read much of it so I don't have much more to contribute).

Are you missing a cock-hero video?
Me too. Since September 1, 2020, my Mega Sharing Zones contents are being removed by Mega.
