Topaz is what I’ve been using to upscale stuff, it tends to crash a bunch and to upscale a 2 hour video would probably take 36 hours or more

Downloaded the trial version just to play around and see what it can do. My pc must be slow...2h video is estimated at a little over 2 weeks to upscale(720 -> 4k). If I had a spare pc, no problem, but alas I only have the one, and I can't go 2 weeks without using it to allow the process to finish. Sorry, but I tried.

I just sent Raga the final change-log to complete. I would say Raga needs 2-3 days to complete and render a master copy and upload to me. DPL is already working on his stuff; once Raga has the final copy to me, DPL should be able to complete his in 2 days. Once that's done, i'll probably take 2 days to do a countdown and do a torrent.

This is a moving target - the above assumes 1 - Raga starts his end right now today (dont know when he can but he said most likely he can jump on it soon), 2 - assumes the project is handed to DPL on a day of the week that is convenient for him, and then 3 - handed back to me on a day that is convenient for me.

All told I am still reluctant to promise any dates, but I am hopeful within 2 weeks; maybe 10 days. But for all I know, one of us gets slammed with an expected urgent matter at work or family - which come second and first respectively.

Is Topaz used to upscale 720p footage? If so, why not? IMHO, the whole production can be released the size it actually is. However, some render engines generate fat files for no apparent visual benefit. A Handbrake pass solves this issue. More details in my signature.

Great to hear that this is coming in for a landing. Seconding what doremi noted about how to manage the file size. You guys know a lot more about it that me though. Good luck with the final stretch, thank you for keeping the series alive!

Raga just sent me the FINAL copy.
Shamefully I cannot download it completely (yet); as the Mega only got me half of it till the data limitation resets. It's clocking in at just under 11 GB.

BUT all edits ARE DONE. (assuming if after I get it, there's no flaw in the rendering - which I will inspect).

ALSO - DPL has completed ALL beats and edits. I gave him gold seal of approval on entire thing. He is ready.
Once I get it, he will get it, and will then see if there's any areas need a contrast shine-up, or any areas that need an up-res. He will overlay the beat track/meter, and then render 3 different file sizes/qualities cuz I know not everyone can manage 11GB.

I'm pretty sure he can get that done within the next few days.

From an unbiased source, I also think the story is remarkably engaging. It even sparked my interest enough to read the first few cantos of Dante's Inferno to try to recognize parallels and try to predict what direction you might take #3.....

Wow - if there was an award for Best Post of the Year, this would be a front-runner. Seriously though thank you tremendously. It's feedback and support like that which really keeps my eye on the ball....er breasts. I hope Raga reads this.

So having read some of Dante's Inferno, you no doubt see see Virgo is "Virgil" and Anjelica is analogous to Beatrice. Temptation and Lust of course is the biggest overarching theme throughout our production and is prevalent throughout all rings or layers of the Inferno - although each has their own little spark of flavor

I loved reading your comments and questions about what may come. It gave me quite the smile of satisfaction.

Will we finally get all of Virgo? And if so will it be with Anjelica's blessing or will Virgo fall to temptation and betray her?

WHAAAAT?? NO! She's the loyal guide that's all. The handmaiden of the highest esteem, and entrusted by the goddess herself to deliver the Hero to her. That would just be wrong. Interestingly enuf - i've scripted some dialogue about that very same questions/musing that you brought up that is mentioned in the Canto III.

Will Dani be satisfied with only a single taste?

Her appetite is insatiable me thinks. Personally I hope another taste is in the cards - as I am a huge fan of Dani's. She is extremely sexy and sensual (to me anyways).

And I was being honest. there was dialogue already proposed in the script.


And as far as new tricks up the High Temptress's sleeves - she MAY or may not have such a thing......but probably yet still possible she doesn't. But likely does.

On another note - I now have the whole file. I've fwd it to DPL. He should have it and can add the beats and render the final version.
