BeatMeterGenerator: A Rough Beginners Tutorial

Hi all, I kind of just threw this together.. A fellow creator who I look to for inspiration in editing had asked for some help in learning to do his own beats. I am a friendly and helping person so I couldn't say no to giving someone what I once needed in order to grasp the learning curve of this program.
*Note I don't finish a whole song. Just went through and tried showing how to do most things you can in the program. and then exporting/importing, I am sure some of the more vetted users/creators will find some things a pinch painful to watch, I am aware I still have a lot left to learn & progress at. But again, if this can help any other new or old creators looking to do there own beatmeters.. then my job would be done by leaving this here.

"BMG's detect BPM is too sensitive to relatively loud notes in the song, but is often accurate about the tempo if that tempo never changes in the range you're testing.
VirtualDJ's bpm measurement is more accurate. In both cases I always round the detected bpm to see if that is true.
The BMG detection is accurate to the real waveform, not where you placed the bpm strip.
So you have to move the strip to match the first beat."

Please take it with a grain of salt as I am not very experienced in it. I know some of my explenations are not all accurate.

For the cut beatmeter at the begininng part (8:50) I found it way easier to always add 10 seconds of silence at the beginning of the audio in Audacity. This way you can perfectly align both beattrack/beatmeter and audio in video editing software right away and just cut the unnecessary part.

this is very true! and was just told to me after posting this by another creator. sometimes the most common sense solution goes right over my head

Would anyone like a tutorial for how I make the hero highway videos with guitar hero notes? I'd be glad to do it if people are interested but don't want to waste the time if not.
