I think you have a fantastic base idea there, but one which in my mind is best suited to a larger project like a webtease or even possibly some sort of video tease.
Branching options are fantastic, but they add a tonne of work. For example if you have 10 options and each player only sees 3/10, 2/10 and 1/10 of the possible options – each play through will see only 20% of the content. That means 20% of the content needs make for a good, full tease so you’re having to write something near the equivalent of 5 teases.
Ways to tackle this? Like you said you could make it a multi-part series so it’s more manageable to publish. Or maybe it does belong more properly in a webtease format. The other is to make any one run through the tease fairly short, but give players reason to try different options and play it again.
Those are my thoughts anyway, and of course Ecik has now posted something
