Anyone know what happened to the dark tantra teases?

The first tease in the series was called "A message for you from the Dark Tantra Goddess" and there were multiple sequels.

I really enjoyed the first one and was looking forward to trying the next ones in the series, but it seems they've disappeared.
Anyone else miss them?

Maybe the author hid them to make some edits. Or maybe they deleted them. Unfortunately teases come and go, sometimes lost forever. If I find a tease that I really like I usually download it just to be safe.

If you remember the author you can try to see if they are still around and write them a pm.

I feel you man. Came across them last week. Was saving them for when I had the time to do them (this weekend). Looked them up and they were gone :(

You can find links to the downloader and the software to run the downloaded teases for the more stable software here viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12944.

For a less stable software, you can find my player, which includes a downloader, in my signature.

I suggest you use the first one as I have put the development of my software on undefined hiatus due to general lack of interest.

The author appears to have deleted not only the teases but their account as well.

I was also saving them to do when I could really focus on the series, and as a precaution against just such an event I have downloaded all 5 of the series published to date (using my new downloader - link in my signature).

Since the author deleted them and vanished, I'm not sure if posting them is appropriate. Contact me via pm if you like.

In this case, I'd say it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission. I wouldn't publish them, but I think creating a thread for "Recovered lost teases" and posting private Eos share links there, along with credit to the original author, would be fine. The original author(s) can always create another account and ball you out for it later if it really bugs them.

I'm inclined to agree, but honestly I was impressed with the series, and the authors attitude and approach and would like to respect their wishes. I had exchanged a couple emails with the author and have sent an email asking what happened and will wait and see what comes of that.

If you don't care about playing offline and just want a back-up copy of the tease; For Eos teases, you can can simply replace the "showtease" with "geteosscript" in the tease URL, then, depending on your browser, right-click the resulting JSON or otherwise find the "save page as" for your given browser, and save the JSON. (Hint: If you're copy/pasting, you're doing it wrong.) You can then load that JSON in OpenEOS to play it directly, or restore it to a new Eos tease of your own.

You can also use my new downloader (links in my signature) which supports Classic, Flash and EOS teases (but not perfectly). There are known issues, including false virus/trojan alerts on the "compiled" version, but I include instructions for running it from the source code (easier than it might seem).

I contacted the author and he stated that he decided to stop the series for "personal reasons".
Since those reasons included deleting them online, I feel it's in appropriate for me to post public links to my saved copy.
