Where do people find sound files?

Post by androgyme »

Hey, I'm working on a new tease and considering using sound to add to the effect of the tase. Think it would be really effective. Thing is I'm having problems finding sound files. Or rather free sound files. I did find some really promising ones but it was a subscription thing and way too expensive for my liking. Does anyone know of any good, free sound effect sites?

Also not sure if this is the right place to post this, as it's not exactly technical support, but at the same time I didn't know where else would be best. If it needs to be moved that's cool.

Not sure, what exactly you need. I have used freesound.org in the past for all kinds of noises.
If you need sexual sounds, it might be easier to extract them from some porn video.

Thanks, that could be helpful for some of what I'm looking for.

Specifically I'm looking for women laughing or giggling, and sounds of women kissing passionately.

I would have no idea how to extract those sounds from videos though, cos I'm pretty much a dummy

There are a lot of tools that can do it. Avidemux is a very basic video editor and has an export audio function. You could use that.

There might be some female voices etc. on freesound.org. I would also try maybe some lesbian porn clips or jerk of instruction videos and stuff like that.

It most likely won't have what you're looking for, but for completeness I also want to mention a site called Noise For Fun, which has tons of open source sound files that can be used to make video games.

Edit: after visiting the site, it looks like it is going offline at the end of the year, and their free sound files are now only available through a couple paid sound bundles. RIP to an awesome sound website - I might consider buying the files just so I can continue using them.

Thanks to everyone for the help so far. I've managed to get a few sound files that might work for the laughter, at least in places. I'll definitely have to look into trying to get sound from videos, although I'm not super confident in my abilities, so hopefully it's not too complicated. But yeah, I just wanted to thank everyone for the help. Much appreciated.
