Creating your own CH for the first time..

Post by Iridescence »

I have always wanted to.. unfortunately at this time of my life- when I finally have access to tools needed to make one.. I have a lot else going on that I can't necessarily always make private time to do this. But tonight I do have some alone time where I would like to just start and although it may take a while to complete. I have faith that I can create quite am epic piece of work. All thanks to the inspiration I receive from all the awesome ( top & recent ) creators here. I just had a few questions and concerns.. I wondered if I might be able to get some clarity from other users/creators on..

Mainly with scene and music selection.. I have a decent collection from sites I subscribed to and paid for over the past while.. I just wonder when the time comes and I have a finished piece of work with said scenes and nothing specific but any sort of music I decide on.. will I run into any copywrite issues or anything of that nature if uploaded to mega ? I wouldn't choose to go on a streaming site. But am unclear of the anonymity and such behind uploading a creation to mega. Though that seems to be the best option

Also I realize there's a guide for making your own in this board (although 10 years old)I just wondered if I get to the point of being done is it possible to have someone else add the beat meter for me if they would be so willing to collaborate ? I originally thought of going no beat meter but the more I think of it its kind of a staple to have.

And wondered if it would be worth it to do an up to date version of the guide to creating your own. No big deal if no one is interested, most the info & tips are there just a few links that aren't working any longer.
Anyways I appreciate any and all help/ info shared by all the awesome milovanians :-)

Welcome to the club!

For copyright, yeah, you can have problems. Just about any site you save to, whether it's a Tube site or a cloud storage provider, will be obligated to remove material that is flagged by a copyright holder as infringing. There's no guarantee that what you post, no matter where you post it, will remain indefinitely.

As for a beat meter, I won't be able to collab (too much on my plate already) but you might be interested in this method to create a beat meter using free software (Da Vinci Resolve, Audacity, and Hydrogen). It works reasonably well, if you don't mind spending a bunch of time tweaking everything over and over until you've driven yourself crazy.

But yeah, beat meters drive me crazy. I prefer the Cock Hero vids I watch to have them, so I feel obligated to include them in mine, but they're a real, real pain to make.

Good luck with your efforts!

I've got too much on my plate too, but the Beatmeter Generator software makes making beatmeters pretty effortless and quick, once you get a handle on it. With it, I can do a 45 minute CH video in a couple of hours, and most of that time is spent figuring out what the beats should be, and not the technical bit. Copy and paste patterns, snap them to the song's BPM, etc. It exports the beatmeter as an image sequence + wav for the sound, which you can import into any video editing software. I've used it with both Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
My latest Cock Hero is Sweet Mammaries, a Cock Hero Quickie.

I've also made 4-play, 4-play 2, Getting Down With The Thiccness, Fuck Hard Cum Harder, Filthy Cute and Kittens & Cream. You can stream them all on SpankBang or search up their announce threads here for other options. :)

Thank you both for your helpful input. One other question for either of you or whoever sees
.. any tips on how to fight the urge while the creative process takes place. I'd like to be able to hold out till it's complete but the excitement gets to me very quickly

Can't help you there. I "playtest" all the time, to make sure the beats make sense and are enjoyable. :)

I suppose I was a bit naive to think I could create without test playing 😅 but I guess I more so meant how might you stay focused on the creative process while in it, and fighting the urge to just play. I may just need to work on my patience with this process cause every time I put some work in. I don't get very far before stopping and going to one of my fav ch's

I would also just like to say that your work in last nightmare was exquisite! Definitely one of my new faves. And I have to ask again.. because it won't be for some time before I may have anything to send your way that would need a beat meter. But when that time comes would you possibly reconsider collaborating in that aspect if I'm unable to figure out how to myself...
I also meant to ask what you guys prefer to edit with. And if you purchased the product or pirate/ torrent.. I thought I had a good pirated version of Adobe premiere but I have to try finding a better one. So until then I was going to try working with DaVinci resolve.

Thanks! I only did the beats and helped a little with the script. Frantzo did the hard work. As far as I know, he used Premiere Pro to do the editing. I made the beats with Beatmeter Generator and added them with DaVinci Resolve.

All my previous CH videos have been made with Premiere Pro and After Effects, but I got sick of paying out the nose for them. I've switched to DaVinci Resolve, and so far, at least for my use, it's doing great, even with the free version. I'm doing a little test project now before I dig into the editing for my next big one, just to learn it and make sure I can make Fusion do what I want it to for edging meters and timers, but it's looking really promising.

So my advice, especially if you're just getting into it, is to start with DaVinci Resolve. It works well, is free, and is much less likely to get a trojan on your machine after downloading something from the pirate bay or whatever. :)

As for helping with beats, sure. Both either to help you figure it out yourself, or do a beatmeter for you. I'd definitely recommend checking out Beatmeter Generator, though. It makes it pretty easy. :)

Nonetheless the beats were well done , and your meters always blend well with the vid.
I am honestly so excited to start this process.. I've wanted for so long only thing is I have small windows of opportunity to do so. And so far I've used those windows addictive downloading and searching for the right scenes. Only to overwhelm myself with decisions on who's gonna make the cut haha. Doesn't help that I've got a couple different themed CH storylines in my head. Just trying to get scenes and get them organized. Anyway very glad to have input and advice from this place and people like you cause I always wanted to do mine with some fancy effects and I had no idea resolve had that option with fusion. Onto the next tutorial vid! Lol I think I'll send you a pm in a short while. Maybe give you a rundown on the 2 top ideas I'm planning on starting with to hopefully get your opinion on !

Sure. I'll try to respond in a timely manner. :)

Also, the decision-making can be rough. For each of my videos, I usually end up downloading something like 3-4TB of videos before I find the ones I want. :)

I can't really help on the software front, as I've decided life isn't difficult enough and do all my work on Linux, but I'll second Resolve as an alternative to paid software. Using software you find on a torrent is risky.

If you check out my BiCock Hero (the opening solo section lacks MM content if that's a concern...), the method I used for beat meter there was pretty simple, and uses free / open source software that is also available on Windows. If you like the look of it I can write up the steps. I've since moved to a method using DaVinci Resolve / Fusion, and while I love the look it is much, much more labour intensive. Maybe there are tricks that can make it simpler, but they're beyond my grasp.

Thank you for the offer. I did actually read your how to on the fusion method you used in resolve. Which is what I've decided to dive into after 3xxx and yourself have mentioned it's the better option. Though there's nothing wrong with that beat meter in your first round. I do prefer a different more modern looking one. However I have not tried my hand at making any yet. Was going to wait till I finish a round first. So if I do find it to labourous I may have to come back to you on that. But I was going to try my hand at the fusion method you mentioned or the beat meter generator

Organize your video editor project knowing that it will be an occasional hobby.

Months between edits, and years between releases.

Supposing that you're only worried about your files being taken offline by DMCA actions, assume it will always happen. That's why I only release to torrent and encourage everyone else to do whatever else might happen. I started out doing more, posting to stream, mega, etc. None of what I put to mega has been removed by DMCA. Maybe someone else's accounts, but not mine. Nearly everything I put to stream is gone. All of my torrents are seeded, accepting all of the details we could parse there.

I stopped posting outside of torrent for the same reason that I seed to minimum 1.25 ratio on anything I take.

The Beatmeter Generator software is newer than those guides. The threads about it here have most of what you would expect from a proper tutorial. We can answer the missing questions. You might find a collaborator to do the meter for you, but try that software yourself. Decisions about the meter are usually best made by the same person arranging the video and audio.

I think that something like 60-70% of the total Cock Hero releases here are done without and/or before Beatmeter Generator was being used. They used other animation software, including the older guides, and some similar software in Premiere and Vegas. I use the BMG, Davinci Resolve, Photoshop, Synfig Studio, and Audacity.

It's mostly done already, just not written up in a single post.

An example, from what I've put into my Resolve templates:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AyXx35hb3w

I have two music tracks set to listen for compression, and every other audio track set to send to compression listeners.

Image

That's the Fairlight view of a remaster of my earlier BFG release, in my newest template three years later. Every other track (video audio, beatmeter generator audio) compresses the music tracks so that those are heard louder than the music. It needs a few listens and adjustments to the video's audio volume. I often put Resolve's Noise Reduction on video audio, and there have been some very complex audio FX stacks in my work. It all came from web search then trial and error.

Image

Those are the audio FX types I put on the Lexi Sindel clip from CH DW 2.3 Cock Hero Dual Wield 2 Astronomia.

Every release improves the next one's templates.

wow! this is a lot to take in on its own, but i appreciate the feedback! i am a little in over my head with excitement so just seeing you say organize your video projects knowing its an occasional hobby, made me realize its going to be a marathon not a sprint. I have been losing lots of sleep trying to learn as I wanted to just get it done being something I have wanted to do for a LONG time. I cant lie, some of what you said about the audio tracks with the last 2 screen shots went over my head, but I have this to come back to when I'm ready. and I appreciate the link you shared also as that seems like it might be a very helpful tip.
I am not experienced with quotes and didn't want to quote your whole paragraph so hopefully you see this. thanks for the support. am I ever glad I was able to make time to come back to this community :-)

You're right on about the marathon, not a sprint. It's possible to sprint a CH video, but a beginner shouldn't expect to. Maybe you'll lose some sleep for having fun with it.

I was working on release 4 or 5 when I went looking for that info about audio ducking and compression. Around the time Blackmagic cleaned up some stuff that had made me mix audio in Audacity instead of Resolve.

Focus on having fun editing the video sequences and pairing them with music. The rest will follow.
