Looking for a webtease download & editor

Post by Sam8585 »

Many years ago there was an application that users could download webteases and a separate application where users could edit webteases on their desktop (for desktop playing). Is there something like this available for current webteases?

The short answer is no. There have been various users who have been developing a tool that does this, all under the "Teasing Software" subforum.

A link to one of the threads for this is here:

well you can download teases and put them into Eos yourself. this way you can edit them too. you cant play them on your desktop offline though

just don't publish a downloaded tease again obviously

I believe you are referring to Teaseme and the offline editor created by philo. Both (I think) are still available for download, although Teaseme has largely been supplanted by GuideMe (see below).

Teaseme allowed you to download teases from Milovana and play them offline, and the offline editor allowed you to create/edit a tease offline in the Teaseme file format (which you could then play in Teaseme), and you could also generate the NYX script for uploading it to Milovana as a flash tease.

The download portion of Teaseme broke ages ago due to changes on Milovana, and Teaseme is no longer under development. It's successor, GuideMe is kind of in limbo at the moment, but there is a downloader available that can handle Classic and Flash teases. There are links for GuideMe, the downloader and Nyx editor in philo's signature.

I am presently working on a new downloader that supports downloading Classic, Flash and EOS teases for offline play in GuideMe. It's very close to being ready for an initial release, but it may never be perfect due to differences in EOS and GuideMe.
