Should i site rip this now or not
About 15~16 months ago I started a subscription with https://decadencexxx.com/. I still have it today, however, no updates have been made on the site since October 6th. The last post by the creator was in the comments section on October 11th. I have messaged him monthly now but with no reply. I guess I'm just wondering if it is a good Idea or bad idea to site rip it and then share it here. There is a HUGE amount of content on the site that deals with Story based cock heroes. Not all of them are fully explored stories, and some leave holes in others, but I'd say they are still pretty solid. The biggest reason I am hesitant with this though, is that he has posted on this site before to advertise his website.
I dont know how to set up a poll here, so here's a strawpoll cus I'm lazy https://www.strawpoll.me/42398530

Re: Should i site rip this now or not
In my personal experience (I had a subscription as well) the creator has some good ideas and tries his best. BUT his releases cycles are horrible and he answers mostly not to requests or messages. On top of it, he uses content which he haven't bought, which is horrible for the original creators...
To summarize. I quit more than a year ago because I didn't like the newest games and mostly because he takes money for MONTHS and doesn't release anthing!

You could rip it and keep it private just in case the site had problems and is headed to be shut down, sort of as an archive. Then if the owner gives signs of life, you hold the ripped content off or delete it. Otherwise, if the site is going to die you can share the content after it is dead.
Obviously this also depends on your availability of storing space.

Re: Should i site rip this now or not
I'd rip it and then decide what/how to handle things with the archive.
I ripped the original webteases.com and its predecessor orgasmdenial.com back in the early '00s. Both were precursors to Milovana, in terms of being webtease sites. They both went down and/or stopped producing paid content soonafter so it was good that I made those archives!

Welp 111 yes to 4 no, looks like the people have spoken! Hope you rip the site and share :).
Re: Should i site rip this now or not
Yeah the overwhelming yes is pretty clear, I’ve already started archiving it. However, a post was made on his blog yesterday regarding the future of the site, so it seems that sharing it is out of the question for now. Sorry ahead of time if I got your hopes up
Re: Should i site rip this now or not
Any update on this?
I say go for it. Someone who's making money off adding beat meters to other people's original content doesn't have a lot of room to complain IMO

Re: Should i site rip this now or not
This site is linked to pornhub so if you're looking to access anything more than my vintage porn collection I wouldn't bother signing up. I tried to move it but the changes were made by the cc companies which effect all adult sites. Not just PH. So for now the future of this site is unclear.
Not sure where the whole idea of me taking from other ch creators and passing it off as my own came from. I personally have over 1500 ch rounds created with around 200 songs that I've created beat tracks for. Granted most of those rounds are mini rounds between 1 - 2 minutes that I use for my games. But still a lot I think anyway.
I don't create to make money. Everything earned just goes back into improving each of our releases. Whether it be subscription costs to all that apps we use, voice overs, or the occasional coder. At the height of our support we were even producing our own exclusive ch scenes. The support fluctuates based on how often I am able to release, understandably. But thankfully we do have our core group of supporters and we do the best we can with what we got.
I create because I can't stop. If I don't have a ch project I''m working on everything I see or hear becomes a new idea for a ch. And it just becomes deafening until eventually it turns into an idea that I just can't ignore anymore and must create.
Knowing this and just the amount of time that goes into each ch release I would never be able to just take another creators work and use it as my own. And it's not even about principle, I have my own vision of how I want my ch to look. Just like they have their own. You could give every creator the same song and same scenes and get something different from every one.
If you're talking about my Creators Challenge. That's new and just something I thought would be fun and a way for creators to get a little something back. Because unless you''re able to release something new every week you're going to have a hard time gathering support for your projects. Especially since a full ch can take months to complete.
It's just such a shame that this community is so adamantly opposed to supporting its creators. With the extant of support given being nothing more than a "This is the best CH ever" post. That is repeated on every new release.
Hate on me and all my work all you want but go find your favorite creators patreon and pledge a $1 at the very least. With each release averaging around 1k downloads. Would still only be about $1 an hour. But nothing compares to the feeling you get when you receive something back from something you created. This will in turn attract new creators. Which will mean more releases.
Competition also breeds excellence. Think of the Prime Revolution days when with every release there was something new. When a new CH would drop you wouldn't even want to skim through it less you spoil it. But you would anyway and just from the few seconds you peaked you would know it was going to be epic.

~98% of the community is an anonymous consumer.WatchItDry wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:47 pm It's just such a shame that this community is so adamantly opposed to supporting its creators. Anonymity aside, the legality of monetization is questionable at best considering that we use copyrighted content almost exclusively. What are we supposed to sell? Editing services?
I don't think the community is the problem, I think that this content is inherently difficult to monetize. How many people actually watch cock hero per month? 1 million? Convert 1 million views per month into YouTube money and it's enough for maybe 1 person to survive on in a cheap cost of living area.
Most successful smut Patreons are in either niche porn categories (like artists who produce niche content), or women who take advantage of men needing to be a provider in exchange for the illusion of contact in a world void of actual human connection.
It would be possible to monetize a cock hero if all of the ingredients were self-produced. Like you said, the amount of effort required to do this is insane. It takes me between 6-12 hours to make a single 4 minute round if you factor in the extra work such as finding clips, music, etc. Imagine if I had to take the time to produce the music and record the video as well. Not to mention paying the talent, etc. I don't think the niche demand for cock hero is enough to make this economically viable. (Not unless you already have the infrastructure set up for other streams of revenue).
8 hours of my time is currently worth about $250. For me to "break even" on the videos I have made, I would need to make at least $4000 (that's a lowball estimate). I don't see that happening.

Since you are charging for your creations, are you paying licensing fees to the original XXX studios?WatchItDry wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 7:47 pm This site is linked to pornhub so if you're looking to access anything more than my vintage porn collection I wouldn't bother signing up. Re: Should i site rip this now or not
I stand by the opinion I had over a year ago, this dude is charging money for content that is stolen in the first place and has the audacity to cry about morals. He is a moneygrubber and they are in general a stain on online communities.
He has no right to demand money for his "creations" that feature mostly stolen content anyway and we have no right to demand his content since it's stolen. That said I would like a copy of the rip.

Re: Should i site rip this now or not
Let's not mix "support" with "paying for access to content". First voluntary, second is not.
Personally I feel like there's a lot of support in this community in multiple forms. Some people like to collaborate to create something together with less "personal effort". A lot of people give feedback back if asked for. I feel like if there was some help I needed, I'd probably get it here. If I put up a patreon saying "if you liked watching my videos, maybe consider donating a dollar or two" I'd probably get some. Maybe not much, but some. However saying things like "community is not willing to support creators" because you've created a website with content behind a paywall is straight out trying to shift blame to the community for an idea nobody has asked for and which failed to make profit you've probably expected.
I also agree with the points laid out by fragrantEmulsion.
