I am just trying to reengineer the bluethoot protocoll of the hismith fucking machine. It has a new controller with bluethoot connectivity, but sadly only with a smartphone app.

OH! I am VERY interested if you find any information on their app API (I emailed them and asked but they aren't publishing one)... (or come up with a reasonable way to spoof messages via BT)... their App seems pretty flaky so I have low expectations for that being easy at the moment...

There is a thread exactly about controlling Hismith machines, it would be great to know how far you've gotten!

That's not true. 3 years ago I took over the original Spicy for TAI. I worked on it for quite a few months before coding TAJ from scratch and then starting to work on Spicy for TAJ. I know it has been long nevertheless but it hasn't remotely been 3 years.

I'd like to take a minute to address both sides of this. First of all, please remember that anything that GodDragon provides us is completely voluntary. This is not his job. You don't have to pay to use the software. No matter what GodDragon says, he's not obligated to give us ANYTHING. I know it's frustrating when you're looking forward to something and it takes way longer than you thought it would before you can have it. I feel the same way about this project. However, please just try to be thankful for what you're given and encouraging to those providing it. Programming and troubleshooting is really hard and can be extremely tedious, so don't be surprised when things take longer than you expect.

Second, as for the amount of time that it has taken to make, GodDragon mentioned back in 2018 that he was wanting to remake Spicy in Java. However, there's not much evidence to show how much time he was putting into it at that point and he made no promises regarding when it would be released. The first major post was in January of this year (2020), announcing that he would like to alpha test the program. He didn't start saying anything about a beta release until March, so I would argue that we've only been waiting 8 to 9 months.

Finally, I'd like to address GodDragon. As I said above, you're not obligated to give us anything. However, if you really want this project to happen, I encourage you to release your work to us as soon as you can. I know you really want to make a good impression with the release and you don't want to release it with features missing and bugs running rampant. However, if you wait until you're completely happy with the program it will never get finished. There will always be things that can be optimized, features that can be added, and elusive bugs present. True, some bugs may scare off some people from using it, but anyone like me will be excited just to try it, and will be just as excited whenever you release any patches down the road.

There are multiple problems:
1. Developing spicy and anything related is a project I do in my free time without gaining anything. Not even experience anymore since it's pretty mundane coding most of the time.
2. Developing is very much bound to me being in a healthy and also kinky mood. So if I am feeling bad for some reason or if I am dealing with for example a woman I am currently dating (which I had occur multiple times) spicy and all interests regarding it kinda go down.
3. I basically have a full time job/occupation + social life + many other private projects and interests, a flat I need to take care of and so on and forth. It's not easy to find the time to test and develop the personality.

Being that salty is not getting you anything. We are a very social community with basically no profit at all. Basically everyone is doing things for free on this plattform. It was suggested to me to create a patreon and I didn't since I was feeling like I couldn't guarantee me working on this.
Please keep in mind I am contributing to the community whilst not asking for anything. Yes, I thought I could release a working version multiple times now but basically everytime something got in the way such as real life changes/ bad moods and so on.
Please also keep in mind I had to develop most of TAJ in addition to Spicy as well.
And as Temeya pointed out I started working on TAJ + Spicy in 2018. That's 2 years. Taking into consideration how long other personalities have taken to reach the shape they are in now and how long there haven't been updates released for some of them spicy isn't doing too bad.
I will see what I can do in the coming week(s). Maybe the release can be a christmas gift

Spicy TAJ (Open Alpha)
Well, here it is boys. I took today to put everything that is required together and I am now happy to present the first publicly available open alpha build of Spicy for TAJ. Test it to your hearts content and let me know how you feel about it. There will be bugs, so make sure to report them. All required setup steps and downloads are listed in the original post. There is also a quick start kit for those that have no TAJ installed yet and want to get started quicker.

I +1 these comments, I know how difficult it is to keep a project going and this was a huge project, along with everything that's going on in your life. I'm trying to become a software dev myself so I know how difficult software projects can be. You're awesome!

I downloaded the quick starter and it is a very good idea to have one download and it works.
The Theme is amazing:)

I like to use the url files, but sadly there are no url files in the quick starter.
And I know there was something i need to add to the url for Tease AI JAVA.
What sites are working? Reddit? Tumblr? BDSMlr? ....

Also there is the Folder Audio and Videos missing in the quick starter, this is confussing for newbies so they don't know where to place the media and in which folder order.

A Quickstarter with media would be nice.

Reddit works. Tumblr and BDSMlr don't right now (afaik). You could just try to paste the url and see what happens. But you can use old files from TAI for tumblr. However I think most porn urls on tumblr are now completely removed. The URL files I provided you with are all reddit.
Btw. you might have to unzip the TeaseAI.properties again to assign the url files after unpacking them. It will reset your TAJ settings (nothing spicy related). Sorry for the unconvenience. You can also assign them by hand though to avoid resetting your TAJ settings.

Yes, TAI tagged sets work perfectly fine with TAJ.
