Well first of all what I got was that mischevious is out of date. Seems like you are trying to run an out of date version of mischevious. Otherwise it didn't freeze for me. What you can try is fetch the newest version of mischevious from github or probably even better for this potential issue right now:
Go into the personality.properties in the personality folder and change both updateDownloadZipLink and personalityPropertiesLink to null. So like:
name=Mischevious
updateDownloadZipLink=null
personalityPropertiesLink=null
version=1.0.3

in your case. Check if that fixes the problem. It could be your system not being able to reach github (firewall or something?). Although the connection should time out at some point.
Anyway apart from that you can use this build as well which has a few more debug messages added to the mix:

i delete default Mischevious personality and have only Spicy folder. Before deleting Mischevious i try to rename Spicy to "1 Spicy", and i have same problem but with 50% personality check (i guess TAIJ load personality in alphabetic sequence).
Also i try to modify Spicy propherties same way u recomend with Mischevious
And nothing helps =(

oh shit that actually WORKED.

Alright, apparently before messing around with the Java version I had a outdated JDK version (before java 10). After wrongly changing the version to 15, I thought I changed to 14, the problem persisted. So my problem (and probably the ones with the same issue) is having the wrong JDK version.

Weirdly enough changing the java version in Environment Variables>JAVA_HOME changed the version when I checked in command prompt but did not solve the problem. (what worked is in my next post to simplify quoting that)

what DID WORK (step tutorial for anyone with this problem):

to check if you have the wrong version type java -version in command prompt. If your version is not something between java 10 - 14, you have the same problem as me, follow:

1. download Java 14.0.2 from here https://jdk.java.net/archive/ and extract it somewhere
2. open command prompt(admin) and type cd yourTeaseAIDirectoryHere , like: cd C:\...\TeaseAI Java 1.2.2, and press enter
3. type "C:\...\jdk-14.0.2 folder here\bin\java.exe" -jar TeaseAI.jar and press enter
4. that should work.

There's probably a better way to do this, one that doesn't involve opening command prompt every time, hope someone knows.

hm, now i have the same problem that i have with some older version - fater i associate jar with v14 after launch it show CMD on 1 sec and close it, so i can't see whats wrong
When i try to start from CMD i have Unnable to access jarfile error

I am very interrested in creating a Personality for Tease AI.
Currently I have no experience with scripting but I work with Excel (formula's etc) everyday. I think I have a very small idea what to expect and I obviously need to start with learning the language. Because of this I decided I wanted to create a Personality for Tease AI JAVA. If i'm going to put time in learning I better learn a "standard" scripting language in my opinion.

I did so far not use Tease-AI Java and before I dive deeper into this I wanted to know if this version of Tease AI has any resctrictions compared to the standard version? I read in the first post that for instance glitter is not supported. Are there any other ristrictions? Is it possible currently to create personality's like for example House of Tease? Or are there some features not existing in Tease-AI Java.

Also if you have any tips on where to start please do suggest.

Just downloaded TAIJ and was able to get it to open as is with no personalities or scripts. Basically a fresh program. I downloaded the Mischevious personality placed it in the personality folder and now TAIJ just hangs at the Checking personalities screen on startup. If I remove the Mischevious folder, the program opens with no issues. What am I missing?

Hey there,
since TAJ relies on JavaScript you are free to do anything you want. It's "scripting" but more like real coding. So you are using anything javascript offers basically (up to a certain javascript standard). You are able to also access and execute java native code as well. So you can even create a glitter addon inside a personality without me adding anything to TAJ itself.
There are basically no restrictions and yes it is very much possible to implement House of Tease in TAJ / javascript. It even allows you to do more complex things than in the limited scripting language of TAI.

For example the clothespins functionality in my spicy personality would probably be not doable in TAI without like 10000 lines of code since you have to copy paste every single possibility.

Spicy is a pretty good example of the possibilities TAJ provides in general.

Is there a way to update the url files?

I know there is a code to write in the TAIJava chatwindow to download the pics from a url file, can you pin this to the first post. I belive this is a important methode because pics in the web always disappear.

(I know in TAI is a patch for the new tumblr picture format maybe you or someone else can copy this part to TAIJava. So tumblr url will work again.)

It would be nice if TAIJava would skip the empty urls and delete it.

Also defekt .jpg and gif and mp4 will be saved in Images/System/Downloaded Images this is not nice to see in my storage.
