I like that you keep evolving the concept, particularly the new tapping rule I think was good!
Regarding those kind of special actions, maybe it would be possible to make it even more obvious which thing is active? It's good that the back-and-forth ball is in a specific position when those go off, that certainly helps, but maybe they could be grey by default and really light up in color when active or something? Just an idea.
