Anyone else have their PornHub account closed for DMCA?

Apparently my two CH videos were too much for PornHub, and now my account’s been killed for DMCA violations. Anyone else have this happen? Just make a new account?

I've never had this happen to me. You will probably have to create a new account.
To prevent DMCA violations, do not tell people the names of the pornstars in your Cock Hero videos. DMCA Bots will locate your videos that way. Tell them in a forum thread in Miolvana that is not linked to your video.

Well, at least on their DMCA pages, they talk about the video recognition software they use that studios can sign up for. I assume they use that also for any studio they own.

In weirder news, on my laptop, I’m still logged into pornhub and able to do all the regular account stuff. It’s just on my desktop that I’ve been logged out of the account and can’t get back in. I’m just assuming it’s a session that just needs to catch up or something, though.

Long time lurker here actually the question posted regarding PH is also something I also often think about. I found out about cock hero on PH and I found out about Milovana the very same way. And I was wondering, why so many creators seem to focus on other ways of sharing their work, but not PH? Is it just because some cock heroes get deleted from time to time? I get it, it is annoying, but how big of a problem is this really? Most cock heroes can still be found easily on PH and have never been deleted. And PH is so much more accessible than any other website. For example on our university campus, PH is one of the only services not blocked, where one can find videos to release some stress also, mega is blocked in many countries like India or not even legal to use. If I had enough time to create a cock hero on my own, I would love to share it with as many people as possible. But using only this forum and Mega won’t give you as much publicity and credit, as uploading it to PH, or?

For example another video by this creator, “Passion”, according to the forum thread it seems to be downloaded 2612 times (maybe more, because no statistics for mega available), but on PH it has been uploaded twice with more than 220,000 views in total for both uploads. That’s a huge difference in reaching an audience of interested people, isn’t it? Both videos on PH are online since 4 months and haven’t been deleted, yet. Just as most other videos. And without these uploads on PH, I wouldn’t even know about the creator, RedLighter, and his/her fantastic skills.

So why not upload his/her other videos to PH in order to reach a even broader audience? Why not upload every cock hero to PH, when most videos have been there for years anyway and have made this forum popular to many new members? Otherwise this will become even more niche, especially with the growing focus on these estim-devices...

Part of it is that PH is very quick to ban your account after a couple of takedowns too. My first posting account was banned after two takedowns. I've gotten better at making videos that their automated systems don't recognize by flipping footage and cropping logos, but that's extra work, and it's a pain to keep making PH accounts. That said, all of mine are up there. :)

It's good to have an initial upload on PornHub (for those who prefer to stream on their phone), but the video quality takes a huge hit because of their compression algorithm. And when people re-upload a copy of a copy, it gets bad very quickly. Having the opportunity to download an original version is very appreciated (from me anyway). And these days, a free Mega account can go a long way.

Maybe PH staff check the popularity of a video : if there is a lot of views, it’s more profitable for them I guess.

Hi. Everything about PH is a mystery, wrapped in a riddle when it comes to what they allow to stay up once uploaded. I've had various accounts over the years shut down for so called DMCA violations. I used to think it was because of digital watermarks, logo's, etc. But, over the years, bitter experience has shown me that it is largely a random and arbitrary process that will lead to a takedown. You can respond to a DMCA notice, citing the 'fair usage' argument, but, don't bother. It never seems to hold any weight even if you have used content freely posted on PH in a CH style compilation. PH is a vehicle for promoting big porno production companies, and credulous amateurs. Sorry for the cynicism, but that is my view for what it's worth.

The first two CH DW episodes were caught by bots through tags and logo watermarks at a few thousand views. The five later episodes weren't, for lack of those two identifying factors.

Once your work has the attention of someone at the production companies owning some work you've repurposed, then the bots don't need to catch it. A person will be looking for it.

I've had my Pornhub Premium account deleted without any warning or reason - I found out when I couldn't log in and had an email saying I'd cancelled my premium subscription. I had uploaded a couple of cock hero style videos but softcore - nothing obviously a problem.
I find Pornhub's approach to be a bit heavy handed and counterproductive. I'm still trying to find out why my account was deleted - all I'm told is I violated their 'terms', which could mean anything. Meanwhile they're not offering to refund the four months I've got left on my premium subscription. It's a great way to make sure that paying customers won't trust you. They could have just said 'oh, by the way this isn't acceptable' and tell me off. I'd at least know what I'd done and they could have carried on and I'd still be a paying customer. Now this is costing them money having to deal with this through customer services. What a stupid way to ruin your business.

Don't bother, Assloverdude, because your old videos now have a virtual 'shadow'. Your new account may be shut down faster. Just upload your new creations to your new account. Maybe your old creations will pop up as user UNKNOWN. It happened in the past. PornHub is that buggy.
