More Eos update bugs

Post by nocnoc »

When right-clicking and selecting corrected spelling in a say block, the update doesn't take.

The eval code in a timer is not visible. (Well perhaps the top pixels of the characters are visible, but it is very hard to edit.)

Hmm, just tested and it seems to work on my end. May I ask which browser you are using and which operating system?

That should work now. Please make sure you reload the editor to get the latest version and try again.

Both issues (corrected spelling selection and the eval code for a timer being displayed about 1 pixel height) are still present. However, I did some testing and it is only a bug for Firefox (on Windows) which is what I usually use. Neither issue is present on Edge or Chrome. I'll switch to one of those for now. The color selection is now fixed though, thanks!

Gotcha. I was able to confirm and fix the 1 pixel height issue in Firefox.

The Firefox editor spell check issue is an upstream bug:

https://github.com/ianstormtaylor/slate/issues/3185

So we'll have to wait for it to get fixed. (I tried to force HAS_BEFORE_INPUT_SUPPORT to true like ClubicTech suggests but no luck for me on Firefox 76.0.1 on Linux.)

Interesting. The Firefox spelling correction bug was not present prior to the weekend Eos update.
