Whats the hardest you ever got put in the friend zone

short version: i was in the mall with a friend and when she was done shopping we went to the cashier. When the cashier was done ringing everything up she said the total. my friend was on her phone ignoring me and the lady. An awkward pause and then I paid. To add insult to injury, the cashier gave a chuckle to my friend cause she saw how i got used.

long version. I went to the mall by myself, along that time i ran into 3 girls i knew from school. we talked and things were normal. 2 of the girls had to leave but one wanted to stay. so the 2 girls left and i thought i was gonna go about my day but one girl ended up never really leaving and i had some shopping left to do. no biggie, we ended up at a store where she said she needed a knew swim suit. again no biggie. as we walked i tried my best not to look at her but this was the most attention i had received from her and we both knew it. we had 4 classes together and she didn't even know my name but was always nice. she had on jean shorts and flip flops with a regular shirt. nothing crazy but dam she was so sexy. she was very flirtatious and touchy. she acted like we knew each-other for a long time. she tried on the swim suit and i waited in the shopping area while she was in the dressing room. typical day at the mall....other shoppers etc. she came out and called my name. it caught me off guard and she said "does this make me look fat" on the outside i laughed and said of course not. on the inside i was fighting my erection and trying to think straight. she said "i think it does do you mind grabbing the black one . so i went and got it for her and she said hey thank your the best and went to try it on. she caught me staring at her ass as she walked away. same thing, asked my opinion and went with the red one. (insert the short version above) so now we were done and then she said "hey, can you give me a ride home" on the inside i was thinking of all the stuff i had to get done. on the outside i said sure. i took her home and she ignored me on her phone....feet on the dash like she owned it...didn't care i missed a few turns cause she wouldn't get off her phone. eventually we got home and i mentioned how ironically we live closely to each-other i said "hey,,,thats crazy. im just 2 streets over. she didn't care just said OMG thank you so much while her hand was on my thigh and then left. as she left my car i saw a tiny glimpse of a black thong and she caught me staring. then left. (this is a true story) anyone else have a good one?

Well I don't really have something as a story like that. I just wanted to say that I feel most of what you did was quite fine. The only thing I find a bit extreme is you paying for her. I would like it if you described what you were thinking at that moment. I mean what would have happened if you did nothing and waited for her to pay, or told her that she needs to pay ? Did you feel that she wanted you to do it, and did all that on purpose ? Anyway I can understand that you felt awkward with the cashier at that moment, and paid, probably if it wasn't a big amount it didn't matter that much either. What mostly surprises me is her reaction, I mean I would have expected from her to at least offer to give you the money. You could have refused then, but this is not the point.
Now if I could give something like a story, I was basically out of a club after it closed around 5 am, with a girl I had met inside and some other people. And although I learned then that she has a boyfriend, I stayed there until everyone else left. She was quite drunk and needed to take a train to go to some other city where she lived, and she pretty much wasn't even able to understand where she was and where the station was. So I took her by the hand and brought her to the station, even paid the night ticket and got her in the train. I also took her phone number and messaged next day to see if she arrived alright. After she told me she did, we exchanged a couple more messages and I never talked to her again. I did see her on the road one day at the opposite pavement but decided it wasn't worth to run or shout to talk to her.
Not sure if it counts, you can say I was friendzoned since she even had a boyfriend and I knew it but I still stayed there and until everyone else left. And then I just couldn't leave her like that in the middle of the night. And yeah I know what I said about paying in the beginning, but the train was going to leave in few minutes and she was not in the state to do anything by herself. In fact she didn't even need the ticket because it was too early in the morning, and the night shift was over, which I kinda knew, but I did buy it to calm her down because she kept saying she needs it to board the train. And by the way it was quite a cold night and I also think I caught a cold after walking her to the station. But anyway, I did feel good in the end, I don't know.
