[Tease AI] Patreon Announcement

Post by 1885 »

Hey Milovana,

After 50 webteases and 6 years of working on Tease AI and Fury, I've been creating interactive T&D experiences for the better part of a decade. I've had a lot of head-on collisions with the real world in the last few years, but the one consistent thing I've been able to identify about myself is that I love all things orgasm denial. Artistically I'm a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, but when it comes to writing teases I not only love the work I'm able to do, but am driven to keep elevating the things I create with a passion I don't really have for anything else. It may not be something you can make a living at, but at the same time I enjoy it so much that it almost feels like my calling.

Many people have offered to support me on Patreon over the years, but despite the volume of work I've put out I never had the personal confidence to view myself as a paid creator. But as we move into 2020, I've reached a turning point in my life where I'm learning it's okay to actually believe in yourself. I want to gather all these ideas in my head and see how far I can take them, and I want to finally put myself out there and give them a chance to support my work should they wish to.

So I've officially started a Patreon, which can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/TeaseAI

I've never personally believed in paywalling art, so I won't be using different tiers of membership. Any content I create will be released to everyone (and at the same time) whether they subscribe to me or not. Rather, I've set up a few goals for projects for the community I'll work on if certain milestones are reached. Patrons will be able to propose and vote on what new content I should make, and I'll keep figuring out new ways to involve anyone who wants to support me as I go along.

This is a very new process for me, so feel free to drop by my Patreon page and give me any suggestions or feedback you may have. I appreciate you reading this far, and thank you to everyone who's encouraged me and left so many kind words over the last decade. Here's to whatever the next ten years of Milovana may bring.

Then where put this and that etc... I know there is instructions but its just so mess and takes alot a time do everything, and if there is error somewhere its impossible fix. :-D

Yeah, Tease AI can be a bit of a pain to get up and going. I think it might be worth adding a setup wizard to the program, something that maybe describes some of those things in concise detail, and then lets you set up some of those options on the fly along the way. I'll take at look at ways I can go about incorporating something like that to help more people get started with it.

I have read that line and thought,... naaaaa.
The thing is, setting up TAI needs preparations and time, period.
Someone who is new to this will most probably have to sort videos, search for picture sets (to me personally it's the most important part to have domme (and contact) picture sets that are very well choosen to have a good immersion.
To have 'just some pictures to at least start with' could ruin the first impressions, the first steps, the first experiences with it.

On the other hand, I had my problems getting started with it myself, ... I can totally understand when someone who is new to TAI is overwhelmed from all those settings and options.

So,... instead of a wizard, maybe a 'simple' and an 'expert' options menu could help to make new users focus on the really necessary settings (yeah, ... I know,... what is necessary and what not  ?)
(This could also save you from too much work on that department,... 2 hooks (simple/expert-mode) and then just make the expert settings visible or not,... ).

Am I offtopic,... yes, I think so!

Ok, that Patreon thing,... from my point of view,... be assured that it is absolutly Ok to earn some bucks with the work you did over the years! :-)
Damn, I have seen the source code,... it IS a code-monster,... honestly, everytime I look at the code,... I think of you as a hybrid of Albert Einstein ( the genius that created a script language which has so many possiblities ), ALF ( the crazy Alien, which is responsible for the code design :-D ;-) ) and Michelangelo ( that is for the amazing 'Look and Feel' of it 8-) ).
I hope that you will get many supporters on patreon, that project and your work would really deserve it!

Best Greetings,
markus

That's a really good point actually. Even if a wizard was in place, once it gets to a point like "Great, now let's select the folder to use for the Domme slideshow", you'd have to assume that the average user wouldn't have picture sets already available, and would need to take time to curate some to their individual tastes.

On top of everything else, I can see why a wizard wouldn't really work. But I do want to try to put some kind of setup help that's accessible from within the program itself.

That's not a bad idea... :hmmm:

Thanks for the suggestion about making the expert settings visible also. If I do go that route, I would have made that much harder on myself

Yeah, that code man... I basically taught myself to code while putting Tease AI together, and in the beginning it was rough. I started over completely from scratch twice after months of work before I began building the build that exists today, and it's still ridiculous how some of it's put together. A lot of improvements have been made by myself and others who know way more than me, but it can be a pretty rough backbone to work around. I'm going to keep working at it though, and hopefully someday I can fully tame this beastly monster code I've created
