fagustree, I didn't choose Linux because I'm using UNIX (FreeBSD). 
Other platforms you should consider are mobile devices like phones and tablets. According to PornHub stats, lots of people watch porn on their phones, and apparently, the view time is very short, a few minutes max.

Yeah, I’d expect mobile to be the top platform, or close to it, especially if you include tablets in that.
Also, a lot of people stream their CH, which means the platform doesn’t matter. Up until I bought a new laptop, I watched most of my CH’s on my ChromeBook. Even the ones I downloaded, I would stream from my main computer using Plex Media Server to the ChromeBook, since it was more convenient to bring to the bedroom, for example, as opposed to playing in front of my desktop computer. Even as it is, I’ll sometimes stream to my phone or to my Windows laptop.
Another option would be streaming to your TV with a Chromecast or similar device.
That said, I guess the usefulness of different options depends also on what project you’re working on.
