Is there something permeating from this thread which is preventing people from behaving like rational and responsible adults? Personal vendettas against WatchItDry, perhaps? This kind of rhetoric is unwarranted in this scenario. pl3b is right in theory but wrong in practice. If WatchItDry had come here and said "Hey everyone! Buy my shit otherwise you can't have my template! Tee-hee!", then pl3b's response would've been 1000000% correct and justified. Unfortunately, this is not the case. WatchItDry came here, respectfully asked if anyone was interested in his FREE template, and got attacked for it.

Don't get me wrong, the day WatchItDry comes here to advertise his commercial/pay-only content is the day I stop defending him and join everyone else. However, today is not that day.

This affair need to be Settle. I really don't like when creator start to fight each other. (Pl3b work is really amazing, maybe the best behind bastati who still make CH content in this world. Would be sad to see him stopping to make it because of shitty business in the community)

OK OK sorry sorry sorry. I just react in direct opposition to the Watch-It-Dry scheme of things, generally speaking. I did actually read (most of) the thread (sort of) before posting "TLDR" (which means "Too Long, Didn't Read," not "Taking Losers Down the Road" nor "Tickle, Lick Dick, Regurgitate"), so please understand that I posted the acronym in (mostly) sarcasm. In fact my whole post was (almost entirely) sarcastic.

I am glad that there are positives and negatives to be had from the situation, and I'm sorry I started to derail the conversation. The distinction you make (allow me to attempt a paraphrase: distinction between, on the one hand, posting solely for personal gain; as opposed to, on the other hand, posting out of a wish to contribute to the community and ALSO piggy-backing onto that contribution a small personal-gain rider) is a valid one. My opinion on the initiator of this thread is very extreme to the wrong end of that distinction's continuum; yours may be less negative; I welcome discussion; but tawk amungst yasewves, I'm gonna go fap now.

So this is why when I see newer productions from lets say PrimeSwitch who adds a lot of voice overs, My first thought is how cool would it be if he had an actual budget to work with. And was able to say get the actual stars themselves to do the voice overs. And that's just an easy example, I'm sure any creator could provide countless ways that a budget would improve their work. Especially those older creators whose passion behind the project you can actually feel and experience.

If I started doing this for the money, I'd probably hate it.

I never mentioned this in my posts throughout the years, but of course there's a budget for Cock Hero's. It's a personal budget, but it's one that I gladly fund with personal money to make an artistic vision come to fruition. You pay for editing software (like Final Cut Pro), plug-ins, animation software (like Motion), even music. And yes, when I started, I was already in the erotic voice acting community so I could just ask friends to help in this project. But as my ambitions grew and I wanted to recruit different types of talent, so I started paying them.

I believe artists and performers should be paid. However, this isn't something I do for money. Cock Hero is a small community and we do it for our own personal satisfaction. Lots of people have asked me to start a patreon and I have refused. I like working at my own pace and fulfilling my own creative vision when it happens. As grueling as making a Cock Hero or porn compilation is, in my heart I truly believe the hard work that deserves the payment is in the porn production itself (film crew, production, performers, etc). Truly exceptional art deserves the truckload of money. That said, I don't expect any emails from a porn production millionaire anytime soon, and even if I did get one, I'd probably ignore it.

I'm not sure what all the hate is for either; i'd like to understand. from what i can see WatchItDry takes the format and adds a whole new level and layer that hasn't been seen (quality of that layer is up for debate, but you can't tell other people what they'd pay for).

The debate here is - at least from my perspective - about monetizing this content. Yes yes I know it's *free*, but not all of it. Templates are free but the links to them are STILL dug somewhere on patreon and not clearly visible here.

Live and let live, sure. But doing what he does to the genre with the content being so niche and community so small is the exact opposite of what stimulates the growth of the genre. That's the whole point of the discussion.

Cock Hero is a genre of PMV in the Public Domain. They made one using their own assets and monetized it. They have every right to do that.

Right. If WatchItDry is using content he either made himself or licensed for resale, then there isn't a problem. If that's not the case, then there is a problem.

Do you have a source for that information? This is only really a problem if the license for pl3b's BPM Tool was violated as a result. I took a look at it, but couldn't find any information regarding its licensing.

Also, how could WatchItDry be using pl3b's BPM Tool if he's using Vegas Pro as his video editor? pl3b's tool only works with After Effects, correct?
