It's been 1 year and 7 months since I released COCK HERO – Dreamgirls. Since then I recieved so much lovely feedback and valuable critique regarding Dreamgirls here on Milovana, Pornhub and other platforms. Thank you for that!

Today I want to reveal my newest project to you – the next installment of the Dreamgirls Series: COCK HERO – Dreamgirls Arcade!

What will be different compared to Dreamgirls?
  • 1080p
  • A more pleasant beat sound
  • Longer playtime
  • There will be a special reward round
  • Mostly instrumental music
  • A much cleaner user interface that won't cover up as much of the girls

Dreamgirls Arcade? Why not Dreamgirls 2?
When I first started working on Dreamgirls Arcade in August last year, I initially had a sorta episodic concept in mind. The idea was to offer you single rounds with a specific theme. Intro and outro would always have the exact same length and would have functioned as breaks between the rounds. That way, you could have put the single videos into a playlist of individual order. I thought that would give you a more individualized experience and would offer more creative freedom to me. Plus, it wouldn't take me as much time to build a single round here and there without thinking of a whole concept. I think I speak for most of the CH creators out there when I say, that it's pretty hard to finish up these projects because they are so time consuming and you always have to work in secret.

In the end I decided to drop the idea. I talked to few people about my concept (at this point a big thanks especially to spork and geforceguy01, who always had an open ear for my ideas) and came to the conclusion that it would be to complicated, resulting in less people enjoying it.

Nevertheless, the name remained. Here is why:

What's to expect?
The heart of Dreamgirls Arcade will be, what I call, seasons. I have 3 of them planned and they will play just like COCK HERO – Dreamgirls. To stay in the theme of videogames, you can consider them as the "campaign mode". Beyond that, I plan to release a few single rounds with themes that wouldn't fit the overall character of COCK HERO – Dreamgirls. There will also be a few red light/green light challenges. Actually, one of them is already very close to be finished. It's about 30 minutes long and features 6 models. But the intro/outro is still in the works and there are plenty of tweaks to be made.

Season 1 of Dreamgirls Arcade will contain 12 rounds, 1 reward round and 30 beautiful models that I picked very carefully for you. 11 of 12 rounds are roughly done. At this point Season 1 is already about 66 minutes long.

Unfortunately there's still a lot of work waiting for me, especially regarding all the animations. Right now I'm dealing with a lot of technical difficulties – like my rendered animations from After Effects literally destroying my project files in Vegas and leaving them unusable. So I'm forced to take a lot of long-winded workarounds to get the work done, which is a huge pain.


That is all I want to reveal for now, but please feel free to ask questions!

I'm already working on this project for so long and the further I get, the harder it becomes. But don't worry. I won't give up.

Said you get project file corruption when passing them between After Effects and Vegas. Maybe render in AE and still use Vegas to sequence the clips. AE has lossless rendering if you need that. One of its options is output to RGBA PNG which you would use for overlays, loops, etc. Render your animation assets at a frame rate some times higher than the finished video so you have extra frames being fed into animation clips that you stretched duration on.

Fantastic news! The first Dreamgirls was one of the best cock heros ever made. I really appreciate the high quality of your work and it's obvious how much time and effort you put into your videos. It was difficult to make it through the first one and at 12:10 (holy cow that brunette) I knew I wasn't going to last long :lol: My only complaint is I wish the first one was longer as it was great! Looking forward to Dreamgirls Arcade.

Just one thing (I left this in the Dreamgirls 1 thread, but got no reply so I am leaving it here again)

In Dreamgirls, "Doubletime" in Round 1 was much faster pace than other doubletimes in later rounds, and I was expecting the same speed when the 2nd and 3rd doubletime was coming and it was different... :w00t:

So, when you are making the arcade, please make sure "doubletime" or "fast" or whatever term is same pace throughout the clip.

If your video is too fat, there's a solution!

The generated output of your video editor may be bloated, too big for not any significant benefit. One thing you can do is use HANDBRAKE with the H.264 (x264), RF18 Constant Quality and Web Optimized / Fast Start options, all other options by default. You'd be surprised how smaller the video becomes, without any impact to the quality.

...relatively speaking. This rate is determined by the bpm of the song.

Just to tell you how absolutely incredible Dreamgirls was!! Im so excited for this one! Sounds amazing! And those posters are stunning as well! Fantastic work man! Take your time, no rush!

Thanks for your advice! I really appreciate it! Unfortunately, this is already my workflow. But instead of rendering RGBA PNG, I used the Quicktime-Codec with the Animation-Preset – which was great at first, because I couldn't notice any noteworthy quality loss while maintaining moderate file sizes (for example, 8 minutes of animated is roughly 1,9 GB). I tried different versions of Quicktime, updated my Vegas – but nothing helped. It would be such a pain to render ALL my animations again. Right now, it sometimes work out when I try to trick Vegas by renaming the "corrupt" files, opening the project, and renaming them again. Sometimes, this gave me enough time to render the project. No idea why the MOV-Files suddenly started to crash Vegas.

Every part that isn't a video source is either a PNG-24 repeated frame or a PNG-24 frame sequence. Sometimes all you need is one (or a few) frame(s) to animate with, because the video sequencer has key-framing for animating position, zoom, crop, etc.

Quicktime is a sequence of rendered frames. It's not keeping alpha channel data from the layers that go into each frame. The animation setting there is telling the encoder to render in a way that averages out well for cartoons and such.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm so sorry that I didn't responded to your inital post – the time around the final production phase/release of Dreamgirls was an incredibly busy time for me. I was just happy to be able to finally push it out and missed the opportunity to be in touch with you guys. BUT, I've definiately read your comment and it was a point on my to-do-list for Dreamgirls Arcade! So, I appreciated it even back then. :-)

FragrantEmulsion is absolutely right. I even went back into the project-files to see if I accidentally set the beat too fast. For your understanding: The tempo of the first rounds song The Sea is 150 beats per minute, the song of the second round, Undress Me Now is only 95.5 bpm.

But as far as I can remember right now, there are no such drastic tempo changes in Dreamgirls Arcade.

Listening to Morcheeba's The Sea now. :-D Always been one of my favorite songs. When I close my eyes, I can smell the sea breeze, hear the waves and feel the warm sun on my skin for a second. Since I've edited Dreamgirls, there's definately a connection to sexy girls now. Which is certainly a improvement! :lol:

Hahaha, I'm glad you appreciated the gifs! :-) I'm always putting in a lot of thought into everything I do. :-) To be honest: My initial idea was to surprise you guys with the completely finished round, but geforceguy01 encouraged me to post an announcement for the new project. Now that I'm recieving such supportive and motivational messages like yours, I'm greatly covered with motivation for the final stage of editing! Thank you! :-)

Thank you again for your advice! It's greatly appreciated. Actually, this is already more or less my workflow. I just never worked with PNG-24 frame sequences, but I'll try it out for future animations! Right now, I think I have found an solution for my problem that keeps me from render out every single animation again.
