As of around 48 hours ago, SpankBang updated their site to firstly fix the 1080p video bug. 1080p videos are now 1080p. Secondly, SpankBang now supports 4k video uploads.
I wanted to start a debate into whether PornHub or SpankBang is the best option for content creators.
Why I'm choosing SpankBang:
Can upload 4k resolution videos Can watch 4k videos without a paid subscription, unlike PornHub Can download 4k videos without a paid subscription, unlike PornHub Can upload 1080p resolution videos Can watch 1080p videos without a paid subscription, unlike PornHub Can download 1080p videos without a paid subscription, unlike PornHub
As someone who has made Cock Hero videos, and plans to make more this year: I have decided to bump it up to 1080p releases going forward. It's still (for me at least) a little difficult to gather up the majority of my porn at 1080p resolution.
I don't have any 4k clips/movies, and I don't have a 4k monitor or television to view them on yet. So my $.02 says we're at least a year to a few years away before 4k resolution Cock Hero videos are commonplace. But of course, I could be wrong too.
How is that for a non-answer to your original question?

So, you would still upload your 1080p videos to PornHub even though almost everyone (free users) cannot download or watch the 1080p video? Why not upload it to SpankBang where anyone can view or download 1080p videos for free?
My only complaint about spankbang is that people have to upload videos before they can download. For people that don't make cock hero or other compilation work, the only real option is to upload someone else's work, so that they can download Cock Hero vids. This could hurt the accessibility of Cock Hero vids, if placed in spankbang instead of pornhub.
This is brillient, but from a quick look the menu system on the left needs to be updated now as you can only select 720p +, but not 1080p + or 4k only, so you have to search and stumble across 4k occasionally.
About SpankBang, when I checked it, it didn't run well with my browser paranoia configuration, so I ditched it.
Perhaps I could check it again...
As for 4K content, files are so huge, the sound is often out of sync, plays too often with hiccups, and most important of all, I don't have a 4K monitor, nor do I plan having one.
Also editing 4K content is a real pain in the butt. Good luck making a good Cock Hero production with scenes that are available now. That alone is a huge issue!

This post's focus was on the possibility of uploading to SpankBang vs PornHub.
I added that into the title for if so someone ever makes a 4k Cock Hero, there would be another mirror/host.
The main point I would like to throw is: You can freely stream and download 1080p+ videos on SpankBang. You cannot do this on PornHub.
I've lately started using spankbang a lot more watching. I love it! :) I know my post isn't about uploading, just figured to share my love on the site anyhow.

Personally, I see advantages to each. I don't think I'm at the point where I could choose one, over the other, permanently.
Spankbang allows for higher-resolution by means of more data-streaming, obviously. Pornhub has a much longer track-record and therefore more of a critical mass of community -- more videos, more members, more playlists, more people who know their way around. Spankbang has a strange (to me) library of porn, some of it very enticing but a lot of it oddly non-pornographic in weird ways, to the point that I often exhaust a search there rather quickly, and run out of good stuff to watch, depending on what I happen to be looking for on a particular day. And I'm not running the type of computer set-up that benefits from Spankbang's higher data possibilities. I have a normal laptop with a relatively normal screen, that's all. Consequently, streaming at 720 p is about as high-quality as I can notice a difference in, and anything better is beside the point for me, at least for now. In two years? Dunno.
Additionally, a side-issue of the technical type: Spankbang has a type of cookie-depository that I don't understand. I can wipe Pornhub's cookies and figure out how to log in as one of several different users under different user-names easily, whereas at Spankbang I sometimes find myself overlapping memberships.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to IMPORT my preferences from Freeones.com (and MyFreeones.com, where I happen to have kept my most complete list of "preferred starlets," don't know why I chose that particular site, but my collection got started there and now I'm stuck with it) into Pornhub and/or Spankbang and/or Motherless. And then there's Betterfap.com, which I keep having high hopes for, but which continues to disappoint. If my preferences at any of the other sites were somehow adopted into the backlist of approvals / disapprovals that Betterfap is accreting for me, then I think Betterfap would be very enjoyable for me. But because I have to start over at Betterfap and basically re-categorize everything I've already categorized somewhere else, I'm finding it to be an annoying project, at best, and horny very seldom.
Just some thoughts.
