Inferno is what brought me to Milvana and Inferno 2 is what had me make an account.

It was worth the wait. This was phenomenal, put it in theaters. The music, the girls, the transitions, it was all great. My only personal desire would have been for the beat bar to stay on the screen (sometimes I get super into the game that I fuck up the beat/forget how it went and its easier for me to just quickly look at it to remember rather than miss some beats trying to listen).

I usually get off every day, most days 2-3 times, so waiting 3 days as I did was difficult and this CH was challenging. There was a couple of points where I told myself, "nah man, just release, what's the worst that can happen" before I remembered why I was here. I managed to make it to the end without spending any points, but that was quite the challenge. I'm already excited to enter Canto 3 and hope it's even more challenging.

It's been over an hour since I last finished, but i'm already ready to go and want to see some of the epilogues, so I'm about to get back at it. I believe, iirc, there was one section where the beat meter was off every other time there was a beat change; if i'm not mistaken then I'll find it and post it here just in case you decide to do a CH Inferno Special Edition box set or something lol

A minor complaint: Canto 2 is out now, and we have this release thread, so can we use it to discuss the video and let the announcement thread die already, it has gone long enough.


My overall feeling about Canto 2 is that it is more refined, but less exciting than the first.

The music selection is good, but personally I was still disappointed compared to Canto 1 where I felt it standed out more.

In terms of production values and story, it certainly shows the high quantity of work that the last long months of delays was suggesting. It feels like the potential of the serie is fully realised in this episode. The story of the Valkyries is a lot of fun to follow; good job with making the characters coming seemingly alive.

My main problem is, I just found it too long. Clocking at over an hour, a CH would have to be very incredibly well paced to maintain my interest that long. Sure, I could just play it in multiple parts then. But the real problem is, the long duration repercute itself in the rhythm of the whole video. I felt like the beats slowed down or paused too often, because I was not supposed to get too much excited yet, as the video was still far from over. It became too much like a show of endurance.
I didn't find the beats in Canto 1 too complicated, my main complaint was that the change warnings should have come more in advance. By the way the beatmeter in 2 is excellent. But when you said you wanted to go with simpler beats I feared you would go too far in the other direction. They are actually varied enough for the first few rounds, but as it goes over the hour it becomes boring to see the same patterns coming back and again.

I'm fine with Canto 3 being very long again, but I would try to break the rhythm a little, alternate more between faster and slower rounds, make it more like a serie of short sprints that a long marathon to keep it impredictable and exciting.

The epilogue states to go where you first see them to replay the summoning scene. This implies to go to where the summoning takes place. This all begins when Virgo is introducing the three - around 23:20.

The only time restriction given is the waiting 48 hours after having lost it during play, then watch the summoning twice. It could be two times in a row, or spread out over a few hours or a day. But in theory you should wait 48 hrs, then watch the summoning twice, then continue the video from there - and doing so without release in between. And of course if you release again with the Valkyries, it's back to waiting 48 hours and watching the Valkyries Summoning twice again and so forth.
