Temporary milo chat is still running but has now temporarily been made a premium room. This means pm's can now be sent by clicking on the members name.

Love that milo is up and running again! But frustrated that theres a number of us that cant get into chat. I use an ios device and have not been able to find a client that works with it. Any timeline when the web server side will be up and running?

Don't have an iPhone myself to test, but there are a couple of XMPP clients on iOS that you can try: https://xmpp.org/software/clients.html

Also the webchat should be working again now. Though again I haven't tested it on iOS.

The web chat works through the latest version of iOS on iPad and iPhones. I haven't looked at any clients though.
