Chastity Cage

Post by secretname »

Hello everyone!

I think I am finally ready to take the plunge and see what it is really like to be locked up! Looking around online, though, there are just so many different kinds of chastity devices to choose from! Including knock-offs and whatnot.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for this horny little sissy's first cage?

I've tried a few in my time. More than anything because I couldn't find one that fit properly. The most important factor I can comment on is the material it's made of.

Metal is too cumbersome, likes to pinch and slide off if you get too relaxed.

Silicone is light and allows for some ball busting while still locked up and is easy to clean. However, it loves to flex. which can kinda hurt the feeling of being truly helpless AND can cause pinching between the assembled pieces.

Plastic is the best in my opinion. Sturdy and strong, very little pinching and light so it stays in place. However, make sure you don't get a cheap one because one good boner will break it in half at the seam.

That's a brief overview, anyway. As far as size, something between 1/2 an inch of space left and something form fitting is best.

Thanks for your advice, Tury!

Yeah, I've heard that the cheapie ones can break pretty easily. I was initially considering silicone, but now I'm wondering if I should just go for plastic instead.

Do you think it's worth it to get a cheapie one just to figure out sizing? Or should I just take some good measurements and go for a legit model?

Thanks!

My personal experience is the opposite of Tury's.

Plastic would pinch and be uncomfortable, would be hard to clean and didn't ventilate well (the cb-x series anyway). I had to take it off at least once a day for thorough washing because it turned into a horrible, dank swamp in there. If you have a foreskin, as I do, it can get worse, and I had an issue with it being constantly swollen and irritated while caged. They also tend to be incredibly annoying to put on without some sort of lubing up first.

My current cage is metal (this one http://g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB18E04KFXX ... ge-Hot.jpg) and I've had no pinching issues (it's only two parts, and none of those parts have any large, flat surfaces as points of contact for skin or hair to get trapped between), less slippage issues, it is more comfortable, I don't get the sweat/hygiene issue and it is very easy to clean while wearing.

Yes, it is a bit heavier, but it does not weigh THAT much, and I've had fewer issues with it than my other cages.

Both the plastic cages I purchased broke less than a month of use later. One of them literally split down the center seam where both halves of the cage meet, because of morning wood. And they were three times the price, each, the cage I have now.

Honestly, odds are, unless you can go to a trade-show or a shop (who knows if they exist where you are!) to get either a custom fit of personalised advice based on your anatomy, you're going to have to try out a bunch of different models.

Thanks Tashi!

Hmm, well it does sound like it will take some shopping around and experimenting to find one that really works for me.

I've always been a little wary of metal.... wouldn't it be a bit less discreet? I guess that depends on whether or not you use a metal lock on it.

Thank you! <3

Depending on what you wear, it won't make any more or less noise than a plastic cage. In face, I think the hollow "thwack" the CB-6k made was louder than the tinkling from my metal one.
There are ways to mitigate the sound. You can wrap a rubber band around the lock, or secure it to your cage with a hair tie or string. Some Dom/mes make it part of the play, with girly ribbons and bows tied to the cage, which also double as a lock-securing mechanism.

Tight underwear/pants also helps with most cages, unless it is a very personalized fit, because there will always be some give and droop depending on temperature and health. Some people use a small rope or chain belt under their clothes to keep the cage secured to their pelvis to stop that kind of thing from happening.

... and just another thought, maybe try a site like bdsm wholesale first. Yes, their cages are knockoffs, but you can try a few models first to get the idea of a proper fit, comfort, & what you like before spending a bunch of $$ on a real model. The sizing is the same. Mostly $20-40 USD instead of over $100+. It only makes sense unless you're going to go in for a custom fitting.

Everyone has their own preference it seems. Metal does seem heavy to me after wearing a plastic one. But I like the security of metal. It's nice to be able to switch them up. Luckily I am handy & have modified parts & integrated different models, mixing them up... cb6000 outer ring, metal pins, cb2000/3000 spikes & cages is one I've modified. It's really tight on me & very difficult to escape. I also use a metal jailbird type device w/ plastic ring & spikes. The metal rings really pinch me hard, so I prefer not using them, but we're all different. Find what works best for you.

I have had the same experience as tashi and actually use one luke the one he had pictured. I got mine from amazon foot only 40 or 50 dollars, can't remember. But I would stay away from plastic, to hard to keep clean. Starting off you might want to try silicone, is easier to clean but could possibly slip off but also easy to remove or cut off in case of emergency and is flexible to help get used to the feel

I've bought a cheaper knockoff version of a metal cage, it's a good one, sturdy and strong. But it has pointy edged which dig into my penis skin and it tends to slip down quite a bit if my penis is very flaccid (I'm a grower). Anyone have any tips? And are cheaper versions really that bad? I can't afford a fully priced one

Ordered my first chastity device!! Thanks everyone for your input!

I wound up getting a knock-off of the birdlocked pico chastity cage on ebay. They're pretty cheap, and according to someone I was talking to in the chat, you can easily turn it inside out and cut off the spikes. This seems like a good way to make sure I got the ring size correct, and also to just cheaply try one out.

If/when I decide to get a more high quality device, I'm thinking of getting a holy trainer. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Hehe why would you want to cut off the spikes ;-) they are the best part. I have the knock off version of the pico, it's a good cage and the spikes aren't actually uncomfortable at all when you get an erection, it's incredibly teasy though, like someone is running their finger nails over your cock constantly. It's heaven/hell depending on your perspective.

Unfortunately I can never get my pico to stay on long as my guys always manage to escape :-O

Following on from what Tashi and Tury were saying about Metal Vs Plastic they both make valid points, and honestly it all comes down to personal choice, everyone's body is different so reacts slightly different to different materials. Tashi is right the cbx series can be a bit claustrophobic and they do need to be removed for cleaning regularily or they get gross. I can get away with wearing it for about 5-7 days before it becomes a problem, but any cage is going to have its downsides and restrict movement etc. I like the cbx because it comes with a variety of rings and it's the one I can wear most comfortably and feel secure in. ie I feel like I'm actually in chastity. Silicone cages are the best for freedom of movement, but they also don't really give much feeling of security or chastity.

You literally just need to go through trial and error and for that I recommend buying the knock offs and seeing what kind you like. When you decide what type you like the best, then you can invest in an expensive model if you feel the need.

oooo, in that case maybe I'll leave the spikes in, hehe. I was already planning on at least trying it out with them still in before cutting them off, hehe.

Yeah, my impression was that it would take some experimenting to figure out what works for me. At least I can use the cheap knock-offs to try out different styles without actually taking the plunge of buying an expensive, high quality one. I'm also not entirely sure what my end goal is.... Do I want to be able to wear one full-time for long periods of time? Will it just be for a few days at a time? I'll have to see how it feels to really know.

Thanks, Banquo
