How does one who is not familiar with javascript line code interfaces get this to run on a mac? All the older links to supposed mac versions no longer exist when I click on them..

I am having a couple of issues. The first is that using the latest version of Gudeme the scroll bars do not hide themselves. I saw an earlier post where someone else had this problem but I don't think there was a fix for it (at least not one that saw).

The second is that randomly there is a black bar that appears in the top right corner and that covers up where the timer would appear. The tease will start correctly but inevitably at some point this black box appears and covers the timer window as well as part of the text and part of the window where the pictures or video etc are displayed. I have added a screen shot to show what I mean.

I am creating teases using the Teaseme editor if that matters.

Any ideas how I can fix these issues? The most critical one for me is the covering of the timer window.

Just a bit more information. I have added a title to one of my teases and that helps some. I can get the black bar across the top to consistently appear by using the alt m combination to remove the menu bar. Once the bar appears toggling the menu bar back on does not remove the black bar. However going into application preferences and going from full screen to windowed or vice versa does cause the bar to disappear.

With a title showing the black bar is narrower than before and I can see the title of my project and about half of the timer window (before I could see none of the timer window). I haven't had time to run a full tease to see if the issue with the black bar randomly appearing is still there. When I do get time I will do that and let you know the result.

I did try to increase the font size of the timer but when I did that the numbers for the timer were behind the instruction text in the right window. The instruction window did not seem to resize itself to compensate for the bigger font in the timer window. I am not sure if this is the expected behavior or not but thought I would mention it in case the information is useful.

If I have time I will try to read through the whole thread and see if there is something that I am overlooking.

I can run these teases with the Teaseme program but I would like to use the copy text to clipboard function so I can employ a tts reader.

In any event, it is a nice program and I appreciate all the work that has been put into it.

I have done a bit more experimenting. I added both a title and author to my tease and now I can toggle alt m without getting the black bar. Not sure if it will appear at random times like it did before but at least I can fix that by toggling between full screen and windowed modes.

I never bothered with a title or author before as these things were just for me and it didn't seem to be important. Guess I was wrong.

I would like to fix the scroll bar issue too but not as important. I did try an earlier version of Guideme (1.3 I think) and it did hide the scroll bars correctly so it must be some change in how the new program works. Since it works properly for most people from what I gather I guess it is something in the configuration of my machine. Not sure what that would be as this is a pretty standard Asus gaming laptop with an NVIDIA gtx 765m video card, 16 Gigs of ram and Windows 10.

Having a title and author probably fixed the black box issue. I have not really tested it without.
Will have a look to see if there is anything obvious that would cause that.

The scroll bar is a css issue I think, so can be fixed by updating defaultCSS.TXT
try deleting the following and see if that fixes it.
html {
overflow: auto;

Thanks much for the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't work. On the bright side though the black box issue was completely resolved by adding an author and a title. It doesn't appear any more either when I hit alt m or at random times. Version 1.3 doesn't give me the scroll bar issue. The scroll bars are a bit distracting but not so much I can't live with it.

I discovered that after following your suggestion what happens is that on some of the pictures in a tease a second set of scroll bars appears when the picture is too big for the window. I can move the picture around with these scroll bars. The ones that you see in the screen shot I posted are inactive and don't appear to do anything. Not sure if this is useful but thought I would mention it in case it just in case.

Here is my default CSS to see if this might fix your issue with the scroll bars, though looks like you already tried it out, but might be worth trying a copy/paste. Before I applied this fix I had scroll bars all the time.

Code: Select all

html { overflow-y: auto; } body { color: white; background-color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size:MintHtmlFontSizepx } html, body, #wrapper { height:100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; } #wrapper td { vertical-align: middle; text-align: center; }

Thanks desertfox that seems to have done the trick. I appreciate your posting your fix for me to try. All is good and now I can spend my time enjoying the teases I have written.

I just updated Content Post at the beginning of this thread with a link to the Blackjack game (by PlayfulGuy). :innocent:

One question though:

This screenshot shows v1.7 for GuideMe. My own version is still at v1.5. Did i miss some updates? :huh: :whistle:
Try GuideMe to play Milovana Teases offline or create your own offline teases with highres images and videos...
Look at Hearts Club or Pilgrim Quest or My Succubus if you wanna see whats possible with GuideMe...

1.6 is here
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12944&start=690#p211796

I don't think I ever released 1.7 which may be needed for BlackJack, there were a couple of fixes for setting the right html via java script

will test it when i get time this weekend and do a release if it needs 1.7

Looks like 1.7 is not needed for blackjack, it was other things he was working on.

Hey is it a known issue that every new slide automatically copies its contents to my clipboard so paste displays it? A bit awkward and if I forget and accidentally click paste somewhere public... that'd be real bad. Known issue or just me?
