The Art of Captioning (Methods)

Post by eMKa888 »

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering who had a lot of experience in captioning images and what the best ways are to do it.

I have created some webteases and flashteases for milovana however sometimes i also like to caption images with text bubbled and so on in the pictures.

Can anyone who has experience with it give me some tips or tricks in terms of
- which software is the best to easily caption images ?
- what is the fastest way to be able to caption several images
- what if you want to create a story of a gallery set of 30 images , what is rhen the easiest way to caption all those pictures in a limited amound of time ?

Currently i use paint however it is not user friendly if you want to caption more than 20 images at the same time (for a storyline) . The reason for this is because i always need to open every picture seperately , i have to reconfigure the size of each picture , i have to select the option again of "transparant text bubbles,...
To do this for each picture it takes a lot of time !

It would be very easy if i could just open all the images at once and that i dont have to reconfigure everything . That way i can solely focus on the captioning itself!)

Anyone who knows how to maybe configure "paint" so that i can save preferences?
Or does anyone know another easy captiong software program?

Also one other question: if you have like 40 pictures , would it be possible to easily add 1 or 2 letters/numbers to their file name ?
I mean like changing it once while having efect on all the selected images (instead of having to manually change each image s filename

Looking forward to all your ideas !
Always love to chat with like minded people - feel free to drop me an email

I am not really an expert on making captions but if I make picutre editing I like to use gimp which is a free programm with far more possibilities than paint, but you could also have look at adobe photoshop they made some their CS 2 product line free to use so that might help as well.
Good Luck
