I believe we have agreed to proceed minus a beat-meter; which was intentional. I believe both Raga and I agree that a beat-meter causes one to spend time watching it vs enjoying the footage.Sicarius wrote:So there is going to be a beatmeter?Ragaraja wrote:I've just about finished the picture cut based on all our feedback, and we're working on getting the beats and meter implemented.Last time there was any mention of it, back in January, suggests you were about to go without a beatmeter for the most part. Is this still the case? That there are just some places with visible beats, where a said meter needs to be implemented.Tittyluvr1334 wrote:ALSO - we seem to have lost our sound-guy. We are looking for someone who is proficient in overlaying stroke-beat rhythms onto the music tracks. What we are looking for is going without a stroke meter (at least most of the time); much like the Audition seems to be - a few seconds alert of a rhythm change. There will likely be some Real-time-stroking in one of the three parts, and some parts of accelerated tempo stroking.
My apologies if it's a silly thing to ask, but I'm still riding the hype train, therefore any info or details are very much appreciated!
Currently the beats are an overlay to the music, and a visual dialogue prompt to advise of the rhythm upcoming with like a three second lead; much like Stroker Ace and Psytrance hero. (i.e. "123-123" "12-345" "DOUBLETIME" etc). Which I firmly believe is sufficient. By now we are all CH pros and know how to anticipate a change in beat as most of the music is intuitive enough to lend itself to that; we all know when a measure is ending and a rhythm change may occur. Between that, and the occasional visual prompt of the new rhythm, I think most of us can transition rather intuitively. The beat-meter itself while nostalgic, is a bit of a distraction for alot of people when instead you can be enjoying the action.
As for the project. It is primarily now waiting for the music overlay for the last couple scenes. I think all footage editing is done. If we can connect with our soundguy, I imagine it could be done in 2 weeks. But I've lost contact with him.
@Pystrance - if you're out there; get in touch with me please; we're looking forward to the last scene you were working on the music beats with.
