New search engine?

Did you change something at the search engine? When you're looking for e.g. "Look at me", you'll find 790 teases: http://www.milovana.com/webteases/#sear ... %2Bat%2Bme. Same for other teases. Wasn't this bad before.

Yeah, I completely rewrote the search engine. Now it doesn't just search the title anymore, but it searches the title, description, author and the entire tease text* itself.

Also for performance reasons it ignores so-called stop words. Those are words that are so common that they match almost anything.

Unfortunately "at" and "me" are both stop words. So it's only searching for "look" and so it shows you all 790 teases that contain "look" somewhere in the title, description or text.

For many cases the new engine works great. Enter for example "submatt" or "maid". I admit that in this case it kinda screws things up. Well, I'll try and gradually make it smarter.

Do you think you could make it recognize phrases, no matter which words are stop words? Like "Look at me" would bring up all teases with "look at me" exactly with that phrase in the tease. Love the search engines that do that.

Ah well, always keeping me on my toes. Yeah, some long, lazy weekend I'll sit down and make it recognize phrases.

My question is this, before we could do a search by rating and then at the end of that list was all the flash teases, not anymore or am I missing something?

That's still possible, but apparently some browsers currently experience a bug where the sorting options aren't displayed properly. I'm working on it!

Edit: Ok, should work now.
