CH - Overdrive teaser

I'd like to give an update on a project. A while back, I posted CH - Drive beta. It's come a looong way. I'm changing the name to Overdrive. Mindwarp and Max 2 are huge influences. 10 rounds including 2 or 3 bonus rounds. I'm about halfway finished, but don't really want to do another big "beta v2" release. It's really nothing like the first beta release now anyways. So I'll just leave a teaser... the round that is most unchanged, lol. Don't want to spoil too much

Loved the positive happy vibe; everything (editing. beats / meter, etc ) seems great quality-wise.

My VLC is on auto-replay, couldn't resist an instant replay, and even took a bit of willpower to resist the third ... I don't know if that tells more about me than the clip, but take it as a compliment ... :)

Wow, this looks really promising. Mindwarp being my favourite CH of all time, can't wait to play this!

Also, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the beatmeter yet, I think it looks really nice and polished.

I like what I've seen of your style so far - the words "slick" and "cool" come to mind. And that beat meter is really good (nice idea/implementation on it)!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I've really paid attention to every aspect of this episode and hope it shows.

If you thought this was fast paced, you ain't seen nothin yet!! My intention is to make this really immersive and seamlessly transition between many different women very suddenly and quickly at times, but smoothly. Hence the name overdrive. You will have to play this a few times in order to just keep up in some places. But don't worry too much, the point is to have fun! I'm glad the positive vibes were noticed, that was definitely intended. I also want to acknowledge this is a video game style PMV and have that vibe to it, through song selection and overlay and minor editing effects, and in between round footage.

That being said, I can think of 3 ways to make the beat changes more obvious and also try not to be too distracting.
- do it CH Boss Fight style where an arrow drops down the screen
-make the overlay a little bigger and maybe less opaque
-modify the beat meter so that the first new pattern is gold instead of the standard color for that round (never done before to my knowledge, sounds cool to try)

Thoughts? None of those should be too difficult to implement. You'll also get another teaser round because of this, something faster. :) maybe I'll do all 3 and let the forum decide.

That gold colored idea sounds, well, golden, would be interesting to see. Either of the others sound fine as well :)

Another idea, which I've thought might look decent as an attention grabber, is the effect that DeepSlutPuppy uses on some of his vids; colored pulses expanding from the girl in the scene... as an example one of his vanilla clips at PH: http://www.pornhub.com/view_video.php?viewkey=282923402 No idea how he does it thou, needs some animation trickery for sure... And as a beat change indicator, well, it would need something like three pulses along the original beat, or something even more "solid", like always exactly 3 seconds, pulsing along the beat.

Hate fast speeds myself, that sample round was good by pacing, and some faster parts are "needed" to keep it varying, but you made it sound like you're going to challenge sbew for the title of the Silliest Stroke Speed .. please do as you please of course, I'm happy to cheat when viewing pleasure dictates it.. ;)

This was excellent - the overall quality of the source and the editing was phenomenal. I'm a fan of the beat meter - maybe make each beat instead of a small * ,just a little larger so it is more noticeable?

Well, "Overdrive" is most likely a good name. I like the flow and material, and the beat meter is great. But for a first round, the pace is a little high.
