Crucifixion

Everyone,

I am kind of with servus on this:

I´m christian and I know that I have to tolerate it but I don´t like it.

I enjoy porn, as a consumer. And I am not a hypocrite about that. If someone that I knew was considering a career in porn, I would try to give "fair and balanced" advice about it, as far as I understood the industry. But if one of my sisters wanted to do porn, that would creep me out, and I would really, really not want to see any of their work.

So, likewise... if people want to do crucifixion scenes (tied to a cross, with ropes), then I do not object to the concept. But I might well be uncomfortable viewing it myself.

Historically speaking,Christianity came along many centuries after crucifixion became an accepted form of punishment for a variety of crimes. Jesus was not that unusual in the regard of having suffered through crucifixion; I have never understood why Christians make such a big deal about that.

DLizzie - It is true that many people died by crucifixion long before Jesus was born. As an example, when the Romans crushed the slave revolt led by Spartacus, the Romans crucified over 6,000 of Spartacus's followers.

Without going on a long tangent about religion, I do believe that crucifixion was a horrific way to die. That is exactly why the Romans chose to use it. And for someone to willingly suffer that fate, in order to save a bunch of strangers, is a fairly major act of selfless sacrifice.

Another way to explain how watching "crucifixion play" might affect me (or affect other Christians), would be to consider how a Jewish person might feel, watching someone doing "Nazi death camp play".

I know several lifestyle femdoms who have crucified male submissives FOR REAL. Unfortunately, since there is blood involved you will never see a commercial video featuring it. Had to be there. Scary, intense, needs medical training!!!

Alice - Wow! I thought that I might be uncomfortable watching someone tied to a cross with ropes. But to watch someone actually nailed to a cross... "scary" and "intense" is probably a major understatement.

Personally I don't like it a lot. But not for religious reasons. I just don't like how it looks a lot of times, especially with standard cross. Some pictures linked here are good, but some devices can hardly be called a cross... Imo
