Breaking-in Period

I've experienced something similar to a breaking-in period with sleeves and masturbators that aren't Fleshlight brand but are similar. I suspect this is more a function of my dick's nerves and my brain's responses to sexual nerve-stimuli getting accommodated to the new device, in some manner or other. I remember one sleeve a while back that I initially thought was way awesome, but then I slowly got more and more tired of it and eventually didn't really want to use it. But that's not the usual trajectory, in my experience. Instead, generally it goes the other way, first you think (as some previous posts in this thread attest) "Uh, really, what's all the hooplah about?" but later you get more excited about, and by, a particular feeling. Also, I've experienced PAIN the first few times I used a new toy. Thought it was too hard, or too sharp; but got used to it soon enough. I recall that my first orgasm inside a real vagina confused me, so white-hot and electric that it felt painful rather than good. Probably a similar experience ...

In fact, the development of liking a novel feeling, from neutral or negative toward good, takes place in several ways. It obviously would take place on, for example, the shaft or glans. But for me it has also gone on not only with the feeling that I got along the length of the shaft or around the head, but also at the base of my cock, basically in the non-cock area of my pelvis, with one certain toy. Anyway, my point is, that I experienced a good feeling from an action other toys don't give me. That kind of freaked me out. It was easy to wean myself, though it did take two or three fapping sessions. For a while there, I was worried that I'd never cum again without that particular toy! Well, it's not a problem, really, since the feeling was (and is) a pretty good mimic of a real sexual feeling -- it is a weak substitute for the actual balls-deep slam that you can get, say, when doing a real female doggie-style. This particular toy I would highly recommend. I have owned a Fleshlight in the past, but I can't recommend it as much as some of the more sleeve-like apparatuses. The advantages of Fleshlight are that (1) it's become almost universal, it's the industry standard against which people measure all other similar devices; (2) there is a lot of mix-and-match opportunity on the website, pick your own texture, compare with info from your internet friends' reports, etc; (3) it has the casing and the suction valve at the end, which allows you to control the suck from zero to max. Disadvantages are plenty, though ... too expensive for what you get; many of the variations aren't worth having; breaks down easily, and is of a non-realistic feeling material.

Although, to be fair, the Doc Johnson that I've linked is really freakish material, too, kind of soft rubber latex, reminds me of a water-absorbent type of foam that is sometimes inside life-preserver vests, but the toy's rubber does not absorb water. The website states (follow the "Specifications" link) that it's 5 inches long, and I find that to be exactly and precisely the case. So, you can mentally re-size the images to get the right concept of what you're getting. It also comes in blue and a couple of other colors.

I'm not always impressed with some of Doc Johnson's products -- their usual "reversible" sleeves aren't really two-sided. You buy them when they're inside-out, you reverse them, you use them outside-out therefore inside-in, that's very misleading.

Well this is a very big question because each toy is very different and will give different sensations. Unfortunately to really know what your going to like you have to spend some money buying different things and trying them out. It will be a little bit hit and miss until you figure out for yourself what you like. But I will try to break it down for you to give you an idea. There are basically 2 main concepts you need to know about.
1. how hard or soft a material is
2. open or closed hole concept.

For the hardness or softness of a material it comes back to personal preference there is no right or wrong answer. In general the softer the material is it will just collapse with the pressure of your dick so you wont feel much of the texture they try to put in. That is the case with fleshlights. their cyberskin material is too soft that it doesn't make much difference which texture you bought because even though you see there are bumps in the pictures, your dick might not feel them because they collapse so easily.
so on the other side you have firm materials (like what is in tenga) so that what you see in the picture your dick will feel because they are more firm so they keep their shape and "push back" against your dick rather than just collapsing. I don't like fleshlight because i have 3 and if i was blindfolded I would not know which one i was using because they are all so similar.
With the tenga flip holes for example the detials are very different between the different toys RED, BLACK, White, grey. I have them all and I am pretty sure I could tell which one my dick was in if i was blindfolded because the textures each feel very unique. That is why I fell in love with Tenga. However some people may find more firm material less comfortable.

The second concept is the open vs closed hole.
Fleshlight is an open hole. this means that the other end of the toy is open, so air and lube will enter/escape from the other side. this means that lube drys out quick and there will be more noisy with the pump action.
Closed hole on the other hand retains lube much better and generally feels tighter.
now with tenga there are flip holes (which feel great but they are heavy and leak air when your using them so not air tight) this toy is best if you want to lay down and hump something. Then you use a flip hole.
If your style is that you want to sit down and stroke fast up and down like for a cock hero for example then you have to go with tenga 3d because it works best, lightweight and overall excellent. So basically if you want to move your hips = flip hole, if you want to move your hand = tenga 3d.

Basically there are 4 main groups of sex toys for men.
1. fleshlight - popular but overrated.
2- tenga - overall the best in my opinion ( i own them all)
3. meiki - super realistic vaginas from Japan, they feel great but extremely difficult to clean and take care of. Don't think that cleaning is a small issue. Trust me you will get grossed out very fast from your toy when you haven't used it for 1 wk and it is still wet inside growing bacteria and shit.
4. other - this is basically every other sleeve or masturbator you find on the net. They use harmful chemicals like PVC in their toys and not durable and shit sensations. Stay away from these.

So if your going to go with tenga flip hole i would suggest white. it is most popular and the best one of the series overall. If you like it and would like a second fliphole then try one of the other colors. Each color has a different texture inside it.

I am thinking about buying a tenga 3d, but i'd like to have some advices before choosing one of them in particular.
I want a toy mostly to play CH, and don't want to spend a lot in a toy. I'd like too if it doesn't make too much noise when using it. I find tenga 3d for 25€ on amazon, and don't want (can't) spend more for this.

The best toy in my opinion is the Tenga Zen 3d
It is a reversible sleeve that you flip inside out to use, and is a closed hole. This means that it is air tight and does not dry out and retains lube very well.
It feels amazing and the texture is mild so you don't wreck you dick on a 50 minute long cockhero. The other textures can hurt a bit on longer sessions. It is very light weight and so its very easy to use in double times etc, unlike fleshlight which is too heavy and clunky so you can't keep up.
Its design is perfect and you never have to reapply lube because it contains it so well.
It is made of silver impregnated thermoplastic elastomer which is body safe and antibacterial.

I never play cockhero without one of the 3D Tengas but Zen is definitely my go-to because the challenges keep getting longer and longer. Just make sure you use a high quality water based lube. I suggest grizzly slide H2O as the best I have tried, and System JO H2O also feels very good like silicone but no silicone in it. Unfortunately, It has Parabens that may cause cancer. The Grizzly lube has no parabens.

The first time was pretty amazing, and the second and third times were so-so. But that's not really a reflection of the product itself--it's common for me to have that kind of fluctuation in pleasure and intensity now that I'm nearly 50. Perhaps I'll write more about that another time.

EDIT: Fourth time was better than the first. I've never really used toys that often, but this thing may change that.

I can't speak to the Tenga options as I do not own one, yet. I say yet because after reading some of wakel's reviews I may have to give them a try. I've tried a few other cheap strokers and for me, like wakel's "other" section, they are worthless.

I do, however, have a few of the Fleshlight sleeves and they work very well. I do not use them as a stroker because as wakel said they are a bit heavy and clunky to keep up with the faster beats. Instead I use them in two ways. I either secure one between the couch cushions or I use the shower mount with an iPad and WiFi connection. In both cases I move my hips to the beat. Like Maskeraid I alternate beats since the Fleshlight is much more intense than your hand (btw, I find Maskeraid's CH videos to be my favorite for this). For me I find that when I'm standing as in the shower I can last longer than sitting or on my knees. Most likely due to circulation of the body. It's also nice to throw some cold water over myself during breaks to shock the system a little. I also find I need less lube in the shower if I turn the water on for a bit to create some steam. Cleanup is also much easier in the shower. In both cases I occasionally throw in some poppers between rounds. Drives me crazy, but I caution they are not for everyone.

As wakel said with the Fleshlight material it is difficult to feel every little bump since the material is very soft. However, imo, you can tell the difference between a smooth texture (anal or original) sleeves vs. the textured (FL Girls, Lotus, etc.) sleeves. For me the smooth texture is less intense than the textured ones.
