Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if there is a way, or if it has been done already, to translate the webteases by Milouser11 from German to English?
I don't speak or read German but would dearly love to try these teases!I can;t even figure out to copy the text from the flash tease into google translate?!?!
Please let me know if anyone can do this, or if it has been done?!?!
Thanks,
LeggyCd xoxoxox

Re: English Translation?
Hi,
If the problem is copy and paste you can download the: TeaseMe with https fix, get a .xml file
from the flash tease and edit it.

But i think you need the author's permission to publish the translated version.
I hope this helps.

Bye.

Re: English Translation?
It takes work.
There are ways to translate the xml from a TeaseMe file semi-automatically, such as with a program called XML Content Translator. I've mentioned it before in this thread.
If that is a little too difficult for you, another idea would be to use ZombieDev's build of TeaseMe, which allows copying/pasting of each page's text. So, you could translate each page as it comes up. I prefer to translate them all ahead of time (as above) so it doesn't ruin the immersion so much. Also, If timers are short you won't have time to translate before another page loads.
Just realize that most translation will be pretty crude. Good enough to understand what's going on, but not much else.
Good luck!

Re: English Translation?
There is always websites or software that can auto-translate some text from one language to another, google being a prime example.
But you have to expect they will usually only get a partial translation. Sometimes enough to read the gist, but never quite has the same story-telling flow where some words are just missing or wrong.
This obviously works better for classic teases over flash.
But if you really want something translated accurately, you would need to enlist the help of someone to translate. There just isn't enough computing power in the world to outperform contextual reading by a person.
Well, that is until we build up an AI, and it tries to take over the world!!
(I suggest we name him "The Brain" after a certain cartoon rodent)...
