Torrents vs streaming

Post by Lord of Goon »

I don't understand torrents. I want to play some CHs which aren't streaming anymore (osu, stroker 3, and the new ones). But I can't figure it out.
I personally like streaming for this reason. I use my Xbox one to stream. And when I get fully lubed up with both hands I can use the Kinect to control hands free. It's awesome.
So if anyone could help get these to stream or maybe teach my dumb Ass how to work torrents. It would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Torrents must be downloaded using a Torrent client such as bitcomet or utorrent. Then you look at the format, see if it need to be decompiled (.rar) or need to be converted (or not) for your machine/software to be read.

Torrents are simply POINTERS to a virtual cloud of users who will share a file with you. A ton of users all over the internet have a copy of the video that you desire. They got the copy by means of the same torrent-file that you got from Milovana. When you cause your torrent-client to go fetch the video file that you want, it connects (by getting information from the torrent-file) to all the people who DO have the video, each person with a connected torrent will automatically start to send parts and pieces of the video to you, your torrent connection on your own computer will automatically start to piece the parts back together to save the video where you want it, and tah-dah! a file-sharing download to your hard drive has begun. It takes a while. Sometimes there are very few people on-line who have the video file; sometimes there are plenty of people; so it all depends on which video you're downloading, and by means of which torrent, as to whether it will be quick or slow or even if you ever get the file at all. You can tweak your own end of things by meas of port mapping and stuff like that, too, but you probably don't need to do that as a beginner. A few neat things, IMO, about torrents are (1) you remain anonymous to all the other users, as they do to you, (2) you can choose to give or take as much as you wish (generally) by staying on line to "seed" (give to other people) after you have "leeched" (received from other people) (2) you can get several files coming in (and/or going out) at once and the torrent-client just automatically sorts out all the incoming and outgoing pieces for you and for all the other users who might be giving something to you or getting something from you.

Some simple initial steps:

1. Go get a torrent-client. These are the names of some: Bittorrent, uTorrent, Vuze. But I suggest you get Deluge, here:

http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Download

2. On that page, download and install the proper version for your operating system. Duh.

3. Go get a torrent-file. Milovana has tons of them. :)

4. Use Deluge to open the Torrent file. Basically, all you have to do is follow the menu instructions in Deluge to "add" whichever torrent you want. (If this turns out to be problematic, maybe you can find a solution in one of the FAQs associated with Deluge or with torrenting in general, or maybe you can Google up a solution to the problem, or ask here after you've got a few of the initial steps started. ) Wait. Eventually you will have downloaded the whole video.

5. Now that you've got it, please stay on line with the video connected to your torrent client so that other users all over the internet can benefit from your generosity by downloading FROM you that which you have recently downloaded from other users.

6. Meanwhile (watch the video, whee! and ...) start thinking in terms of your "ratio" -- that is, how much you GIVE relative to how much you GET. Try to stay in the positive zone. Many "private" torrent trackers (such as Empornium) will require a user membership at their site before you can access their torrents; and they will oversee your ratio to prevent you from being overly selfish and ruining the overall give-to-get possibilities for everybody else.

Are you missing a cock-hero video?
Me too. Since September 1, 2020, my Mega Sharing Zones contents are being removed by Mega.
