I personally don't agree with the comment on open source.
The whole point of open source is so others can reuse it.
If I disappeared off this site I would be sad if people didn't pick up and run with my code.
If you don't feel like that you shouldn't open source your code.
there is nothing wrong in having a closed source project.

having said that it is concerning that someone so enthusiastic suddenly disappeared on a major achievement like this.
hopefully it is just temporary burnout or a technical issue.
I certainly think waiting for a while to see if he reappears is the respectful thing to do.

refactoring the code to something well structured and commented but simple may be a good use of people's time.
he does not have to pick that up but may be grateful.
It is a pain to do that sort of stuff when you just want to add new functionality

There quite a few opinions on the subject and I agree with the wait 60 days crew. When the 60 days are over, there is no reason to feel bad. In the OP, 1885 has stated his final toughts.

I have a lot of work to do on this program still, but it is feature-complete as of my original vision. I will work to add features as they seem appropriate, continue polishing the program by fixing bugs and tweaking code, and work on new content. I personally feel I have little more to add to Wicked Tease. I prefer to work on a Personality closer to my heart, but I can't say when or if I can fully undertake that project.

The garage analogy on this means that he finished his garage. All he needs are some small fixes here and there. and added fun things. The blue prints are out the the garage is close to what he envisioned. Friends dont fuck up a garage. But the help him when he is away by fixing small things. leaving comments on what they did.

The garage he made has left its door wide open to content. So where one crew might work on fixes. others can make scripts or personalities. No one can read his mind, only his words.

For now it's pointless to argue or try to make conjuncture about it since from what I saw :
1. There is no blocking bug preventing people to use the apps
2. We only have 2 advanced persona being released (Opiate's and mine) and we are probably the most eager to get new stuff to make them even better
3. Nobody seems to have much time to commit to work on the project for at least a few weeks

Yeah, I'm really more interested in getting my personality to the point that I can fork it for women, the only thing I really wish I could do was call random video.

On a side note I was thinking of starting a repo on github for documentation and maybe hosting the scripts as it allows us to have version tracking, bug tracking and free website hosting...
But I fear that github might be a bit complex as you need an account and know how to use it. Can someone not familiar with it try https://try.github.io and tell me if it's understandable enough or if we should think of another solution

Meh, GitHub for source, definitely... But, I think it would be overkill for anything else
If we used GitHub as a platform, someone who understood it would need to make a short, simple, and extremely efficient tutorial that easily explained the core features and how to use them to the community

My opinion is based on not understanding GitHub. I don't like what I don't understand
I've been lurking on GitHub for years to get things that I need, but I've never been part of it
And the scope of the projects I follow there are ...huge

Even for users, GitHub is daunting. As a new user, I remember not moving to the latest and greatest because I had to figure out GitHub first... It's still daunting for me, and I've been going there for a few years.


I think a better option would require Milo's support unless TeaseAI support was moved away from Milo
A dedicated TeaseAI section, split it into Persona's, then Scripts with a stickied "Posting Etiquette" to identify the types of scripts being posted. (Glitter) (Module) (Link) (Starts) (End) (Interrupts) (Vocab) (Response)

This could of course be done without Milo, but... I kind of like Milo, and it could definitely be done right here at home lol

I would be all for helping polish whats in his garage, but he took the car with the running engine, and left the clunker that still needs a lot of work. (That's what's on GitHub) For all intents and purposes, the current TeaseAI is not open source, if it were... I'm sure there would be a few of us knee deep into it trying to help out with the bugs.

Forget about GitHub I'm too used to use it as my default option

I forgot about my first idea and probably the bets plateform for collaborative documents : Wiki!

So here is a barebone wiki : http://teaseai.wikidot.com/

You just have to register to the plateform to add content, for now I let it completly open, if troubles arrises I'll restrict the access

Let me know if this is a good idea or not. I think it's much better than google docs and co for what we want to do and even if I think github is even better I agree that it's more complex for beginners. And if it's not, it takes 2s to destroy

Also it's free but based on wikimedia so easy to put somewhere else if needed...

If people like the idea I'll start to fill it up but I'll need people to do it too, so if you have time and like the idea don't hesitate to start writing stuff, you can create pages and change the little bit I did if you want to I don't care!

Just one thing, we are not supposed to publish adult content on it so please no explicit pictures if you add screenshots or blur the unsafe parts

I think I missed some permissions, it should work now...

I think that as long as we don't have explicit images and that the wiki isn't all about sexual things we should be fine. Also as long as nobody report it, it should be fine too. I'll still make regular exports just to be safe if we start to use it

I really like the idea of a Wiki, trying to get info from the these forums can be 'at least for me' tedious, since I really can't keep up with the posts. Having a clean and organised way of leaning how to use the program better is perfect.

Personally I'm mostly worried, since someone who put as much into this as 1885 vanishing is worrisome. So yes there's part of me that is upset that the program stalled, but the excellent effort by png and opiate has definitely kept this interesting.

Hopefully it's clearer than the explanations of 1885 for the people who use the porgram for the first time

Remember that it's a wiki so if you find mistakes or want to add stuff you can edit it once you created an account. Any help on that is welcome since I'd rather pass more time either on coding or working on my persona than doing documentation

Just a quick question, I feel kind of silly asking but what are you going to do. In the Video set up screen for AI I know all the types of videos except for CH. What does CH stand for? Also is there any difference between the "Genre" and "Domme Genre" sections? I just use the same vids for both? Thank you.

I guess CH stands for Cock Hero (search on the forums if you don't know them). For the other I don't knoe either.
