Losing Interest and how people think

Post by atatflo »

I saw a lot of posts lately about people complaining losing interest in being a sissy, being dominant, submissive or bdsm.. And I wondered - why do people keep talking about it? I guess it's just human behaviour... E.g. there are times, where I drink like 10 cups of coffee a day, but then there are days where there is nothing, which I crave less than coffee and I drink no cup at all.. The difference? Drinking a cup of coffee is not kinky, it does not excite me to talk about it at all..
This is the important part: Losing interest in our kinky side, does it really matter? Do we have to talk about it? Or is it just human and talking about it is a sign of somebody trying to get attention?

It is natural to be getting tired of any lasting action. Sex life in that respect is something that exists purely for fun, that's why when people get tired of some aspect of it they drop it really easily. I believe that diversity is the key. I also think that most people who drop those things just need some rest, and then will find interest again. I believe you can't grow tired of the kink you once liked entirely.

I guess it depends on how important it is (or has been) in your life and what factors are changing your interests. If you are losing interest it might be because of the lack of diversity (just like Nezhul said) and mixing things up could save you from dropping something completely that you once loved. There are many others factors like mood, hormones that stabilize when getting older, negative experiences etc. One factor is more alarming than another. It definitely cannot hurt (ha-ha) to talk about it because it might help you figure out the reason ;)
