Tech Support: Chat Issues

Not sure on long term stability/all holes patched for good, but the server is back up and running and chat is working from the site again.

We are still trying to figure out exactly what is the cause of the issues lately, so bare with us while it is worked on.

I don't believe anyone knows at this specific point in time. if you look back a page in this thread there is a link to a backup White did elsewhere. When it asks for your name and password, just put your current name in.

In my checking, it seems when normal chat is down, everyone seems to not try the other chat, but if everyone did it would be a useful backup.

Web interface is down, but the chat can be accessed with a client like Pidgin:

First pick XMPP under protocol. Your username goes under username. Domain is "xmpp.milovana.com", without quotes. Your password under password, and you should be set.

To actually get into a room, click Tools > Room list, get the list, add the chats you want and then open what you want, you can also set autoconnect there.
