So I notice that people seem to be high on the CB series, but she wants me locked in metal and more exposed for teasing than the CB series.
She keeps coming back to this as her top choice http://www.extremerestraints.com/chasti ... _2260.html
I simply have no idea. I have read that cheap deals on amazon are knock offs and i should avoid them.
So I guess I am looking for opinions on the link above and for anyone who has an opinion on what will make a good first cock cage.
Seek advice/reviews, purchasing chastity device
Re: Seek advice/reviews, purchasing chastity device
That device has the disadvantage that it will not be a good fit for most men. I can tell you right now it would be too long for me, for instance. And it doesn't have any way to stop the cage tilting in relation to the ring.
A genuine CB6000 or variant is still one of the best places to start. And take it slowly. First lockups should be hours, not days. Be prepared to unlock it to fix problems in the first month or so. And be prepared for a sizing that works after one week to not be quite right after two. After that, you can look to upgrade.
For metal, I can't recommend Mature Metal highly enough. Customer Service is superb and the devices are well made and ship fairly quickly. And buy the sizing rings first.

Re: Seek advice/reviews, purchasing chastity device
CB series is hyped up, but really it's not that good.
First of all, it's known to split apart and even cause injury when it does.
Secondly, it's really dirtly. When you pee you can't really manipulate your penis (because the device is sturdy tube), so often the pee ends up hitting the plastic and it's pee on the inside, pee spilling outside, on your balls... I mean ergh!
You can't clean it, because there are only a few small holes, so your cock will be dirty. It's also not possible to dry yourself completely in it, so long-term moisture may cause problems.
Other problem is that it's not really secure. I mean you can get out of it.
I also find it uncomfortable when I have erections, because I grow out of it, ending up with a chastity tupe on the end of my cock, and main part of my erect cock is out and it pulls on my balls.... it's and annoyance.
The only thing it's good for is looks, that's why it's often used. So don't buy it.
Now, for buying the best choices are light metal custom-made chastity, that looks like a spring or a spiral, as far as I know. Ask SexualChock, or read his reviews. The pros of this type is that you can easily clean yourself, you can pee easy, and it's custom made for your dimentions, so it's not too big or too small - it fits right in, if you don't slack with measurements. It also is metal which is pretty secure, and add a certain touch in itself.
Also as far as comfort goes many men find silicone belts like Birdcage or HolyTrainer the best. Although some don't find them good either. The cage is soft so you kinda can manipulate yourself a bit, although not completely. The cleaning and drying issues of CB series remains, as well as getting out of it. But it's better still, and as for looks - my personal opinion is that silicone looks better amongst all of them.

Good practical advice Nezhul. I fantasise about chastity devices, but for the practical reasons you note, and there's also the issue of how to control the key, I have to do my denial with willpowerNezhul wrote:

Not custom made, but I found it available from an online sex toys retailer, and for £40 I'm tempted

I do not recommend EVER buying anything from Extreme Restraints.
They are rip off artists that produce knockoffs of real products literally by shipping the real thing to China and Pakistan with the instructions "copy this, but cheaper."
Avoid them like the plague they are!!!

Re: Seek advice/reviews, purchasing chastity device
Very helpful information/advice. I have not been noting the disparities in dimensions between models. We do plan to start slow and build up. At this point we plan to build up to locking me on my off days when she works and maybe over night and havent contemplated longer yet. Mature Metal looks great but definitely a future purchase as an upgrade.seidenki wrote:That device has the disadvantage that it will not be a good fit for most men. One question, when you say "be prepared for a sizing that works after one week to not be quite right after two", are u refering to long term wear? and does it get more snug as your balls swell or less snug as you adjust to the fit?

Also, the CB models are a no-go. One primary function she is after is accessibility for teasing and sensation play, this is why I am interested in a metal model, they tend to be more open. And the cleaning/drying issue had come to mind as well.
And yes, Nezhul, arthurb. something along these lines is sort of what i have in mind.

I am weary of several warnings of where/who not to buy from though. Does anyone have a particular seller/site to recommend?arthurb wrote:Good practical advice Nezhul. Ive heard a few warnings on where not to buy. Any others I should avoid? Any reliable sellers/sites to recommend? Do you know anything about http://malechastitydevices.us/ ?AliceInBondageLand wrote:I do not recommend EVER buying anything from Extreme Restraints.

Re: Seek advice/reviews, purchasing chastity device
If you are new to chastity, and worried about the cost of the customised belts, or even just the price of genuine brands, it is worth buying a cheap knock off. If only to see if chastity is for you. And once you are happy with a style of belt you can drop some money down on an expensive one.
It's what I did, and I've had no problems with any of the cheap devices I have bought, I have a metal, a silicon and a CB6000s, the latter two are easier to get fitting properly. But the metal cage has more access, which it sounds like you require.
Like others have said, when starting out with a new belt there is a lot of trial and error, finding the right fit and making sure you are suitably comfortable.
Good luck finding the right one for you, and I hope you both have fun exploring the fetish together.

Great practical advice and sort of what I was hoping to hear because its the conclusion I was slowly coming to on my own. Much appreciated, and thanks, we are both pretty excited about venturing into chastity playBanquo wrote:If you are new to chastity, and worried about the cost of the customised belts, or even just the price of genuine brands, it is worth buying a cheap knock off.
