chat vs. forums

can anybody tell me why it seems like it won't let me be in the chat and logged in on the forums at the same time? It seems like if I'm logged in, and I go into the chat, next thing I know I'm logged out. If I log back in with chat open, as soon as I go to a new page in the forum, logged out again. Sometimes I would like to check on PM's or post in a thread while I also follow the chat, and it's just a bit annoying to do that in different tabs.

Is it something I'm doing? just wondering if it's just me.

Nope, it isn't just you. Same thing happens to me, though I only rarely post in the forums in any event.

guess I'll just chock it up to the way things are. I'll just keep switching tabs, no biggie.
