ive downloaded guideme but when i open it its just a black screen with the words "title,author" on top
what do i do? any help is greatly appreciated.

What you have to do is load a file into the reader.
For example, lets say you want to load the tutorial into the reader.
Click on File, the click load.
Locate the file you want to load. It will be an XML file. Click on that file and it should load.
Also, make sure under the Preferences the data directory is set to the location of the tutorial files. That will load your images, audio, and video.
