if you were to decide you might leave here
Whatever you do DO NOT delete all your teases off of here if one day you up and decide that you are going to quit porn or Milovana.
I had I believe it was 6 or 7 teases on here that I put A LOT of work into.I mean A LOT.
This was under a different user name a few years back.
I went through a "porn is bad for me " phase and deleted all my stuff off of here wasting all my time and taking away teases from other people that I thought were pretty good.
If for whatever reason you wanna leave here sure, if that is your decision think it over good, but leave all your teases here please.
You will maybe be back here anyway like me wishing you had not done that.

Re: if you were to decide you might leave here
I think I remember you, I was mad that they were gone.
Re: if you were to decide you might leave here
You can just unpublish your tease if you want it gone. Deleting them is such a cheap act.

Not a cheap act. If someone wants to delete them, for whatever reasons, its their decision. They own it and nobody has a right to judge them for it.
But i also think that it wouldnt hurt, if the teases stay on the site.... but again... decision of the author.

What's the difference really though? Surely if you unpublish a tease it is no longer accessible, it wouldn't matter if it was then deleted unless the author intended on making a dramatic return at some point.Nezhul wrote:You can just unpublish your tease if you want it gone. I'm not a fan of people deleting their content from the site, especially from the forums where some threads have become unreadable. I can understand why some people would want their content deleted for privacy reasons. It is annoying though.

The difference is that they can be restored later, when your Emo-mod wears off. What's the difference really though?
Pfff! They own it and nobody has a right to judge them for it.
they mostly do.unless the author intended on making a dramatic return at some point.
What privacy reasons? I mean, really? clear your browser, change the e-mail in the profile, and NOTHING associates you with that account. Or worst case - ask Seraphox to move your teases to another Acc, like Decker did, for example.I can understand why some people would want their content deleted for privacy reasons.

Damn... how can i even dream to top this argument? :DNezhul wrote:Pfff! They own it and nobody has a right to judge them for it.
Sorry, but the truth is you have nothing to say against it and so you jhust try to downrate it. Fine with me, but that doesnt make your argumentation better and certainly doesnt make you right about that point. The Author owns it... and so he has every right to delete it. Who are you to judge this? Calling that emo-mood etc. :D

Yes, pretty much what you said. It wasnt intended to be an argument. I just don't agree with it. It's very hard to argue on the topics of rights, freedoms and such - so I don't. I can, but only with someone who can accept that freedoms and rights are not always the best option. In fact they often are not, but US made them the top argument and the top truth.
I just express my feelings. You have a problem with that?
Shortly - you don't own something you shared with others. You don't own it. You are it's author, but you don't OWN it in a big way. Just like you don't own your child, and you can't just kill it whenever you feel like it, because you do not own it. Call this example extreme, but it's spot on.

Well, I own my decision to judge someone and you have no right to judge me for judging someone.Oda wrote:They own it and nobody has a right to judge them for it.
Seriously, I will judge anyone I want and I don't need argument for that. My opinion is that deleting teases is stupid act and whole that emo thing "I will leave porn behind" is nonsense. Also any security concerns are even more laughable if you consider how freely people exchange 3rd party software things on this forum.

Re: if you were to decide you might leave here
Greetings all,
There is something I've been curious about for a while now, and this might be the right time to inquire (albeit a little off topic). And my apologies if this further complicates things...
First, let me preface this posting by noting that I'm not very familiar with TeaseMe. I've downloaded it to try and see what it's about, but still extremely new to it.
If I remember correctly from the terms and conditions of the site--at least in regards to making teases--it is completely up to the author on whether he/she decides to remove his/her work from the site. Now besides the question of "should or shouldn't" an author actually do that (and the obvious discussion of this topic), here is my question...
If TeaseMe allows users (any user) to essentially download a current tease, to be played with the TeaseMe software, wouldn't that circumvent some of these issues--as the tease is still available (at least in some capacity), but just for TeaseMe?
Perhaps my rudimentary understanding of the TeaseMe program is causing this disconnect, but if the author is not the person required to add his/her tease to TeaseMe, then wouldn't "downloading" another users tease and storing them in a database (such as TeaseMe) bypass this whole problem?
If I'm correct (and I'm not familiar enough with TeaseMe and/or whether an author's tease that is pulled must also be "removed" from TeaseMe), would this create other problems down the road with the terms and conditions or "ownership" of work--however you want to interpret that?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Regards,

Re: if you were to decide you might leave here
Come on, Nezhul...that's not spot on at all. A child is a sentient being with rights of its own, we're talking about art. If I paint a landscape, compose a song or sculpt a bust of Stewart Lee, I have just as much right to share them with everyone as I do to lock them away in my own personal vault. Ownership isn't just tossed away cause you share something you created online.Nezhul wrote:Shortly - you don't own something you shared with others. You don't own it. Call this example extreme, but it's spot on.
Now, if you mean you can't expect to control what happens to something you share online, I completely agree with you. I don't think anything could or should stop personal and fair use, but I would at least hope we have enough respect for each other in the community to ask before we change someone else's work and put it back out there. But if if someone creates a tease, and then they want to take it down, that's their right.
That being said, I think it's just as much an emo dick move as you do.
So much this. Whenever someone pulls all their teases down, they're not just hurting whoever pissed them off in the first place, they're hurting hundreds of more people who politely or quietly enjoyed their work. So many good teases have been lost this way, because it seems the best authors are the guiltiest ones of doing it. I sure as hell will judge them for not finding a better way to handle their grievances.Mazi wrote:Well, I own my decision to judge someone and you have no right to judge me for judging someone.Oda wrote:They own it and nobody has a right to judge them for it.

As an author myself, I would actually prefer if my teases were exclusive to the site itself, because that's my part in providing incentive for people to visit and be part of the community. But on the other hand, you can't say if Milovana will still be here 5, 10, 15+ years from now...or even tomorrow. I think having tools like TeaseMe to provide backups for all the work that could potentially be lost is way more important than any personal desire I'd have to be exclusive.CMD wrote:Perhaps my rudimentary understanding of the TeaseMe program is causing this disconnect, but if the author is not the person required to add his/her tease to TeaseMe, then wouldn't "downloading" another users tease and storing them in a database (such as TeaseMe) bypass this whole problem?
To that end, TeaseMe pretty much already has circumvented the whole issue of authors taking their teases down. At least for the people who just wanted to enjoy and have access to the work themselves.

If you still want to republish your teaases and the teaseme versions exist, the offline editor will generate nyx script from the teaseme version.cockheroaddict wrote:Whatever you do DO NOT delete all your teases off of here if one day you up and decide that you are going to quit porn or Milovana.

if you want to post the names of the teases here I am happy to help if I can.
One of the reasons all the source code for teaseme and the related projects are all available online under gpl licences is so that they can't disappear on a whim.

Always sad to see people "purging" their kink side, since they always seem to come back a few years later.
... kinks are hotter when they are authentic.
