Desperate need for a mentor

Hi all,

I've been trying to create my first tease. I started with NYX and was doing okay until I wanted to recreate random pages.

I've played with MWT Edit but the only thing I can figure out is how to select a picture.

I'm REALLY not a computer person. I've never written a script.

Was hoping that someone with experience would be kind enough to volunteer to be my mentor. Someone that I can PM directly with questions. I've tried finding answers in the forums, but they've become so long that it is difficult to locate an answer to a specific question.

Any help would be appreciated.

The end goal is to have this tease available for offline usage

K..not sure what I did differently this time in MWT Editor but it seems to be working. I can insert a picture and text. However I keep getting this window:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

I've been hitting continue and it all seems to keep working.

But what's the deal? What am I doing wrong?

the :: range:: function actually does random pages.
in this example above there are three random things that can happen
hence... page 8, 9 and 10
Note: the page it goes to Looks different!!!
8#page... (instead of the usual page8#) !!!
the Unset command you see at the end is because I wanted to "reset" the "dice" I used

if you skip the unset command and use the same numbers again later in the tease this causes all kinds of problems!!!

Mmmm,

It looks as though I've gotten the MWT Editor working, is this also known as the TeaseMe editor?

So I have my "start" page with a hidden delay of 30 seconds. I then want it to randomly go to 1 of 7 pages. I have the pages named 1, 2, 3, etc.

Is there a way to set this up in the Editor or do I need to go into the actual script and do it?

I appreciate the help and don't think I'll be a pester. There's really only a few things that I think I really need help with. And once I get them once....I hopefully will be able to continue doing it without asking all the time.

I'm at a complete lost still. I've gone thru the forums and I've asked, and been given help. But this is all very new to me and I just can't make it work.

I really would like to learn how to do create flash teases and become a contributing member.

My latest thought is that if I post what I have, someone will help me fill in the blanks by filling in what I'm missing and reposting the script. Then, seeing it within my own script will cause it to make sense to me.

What I'm trying to do here is, from the start page...when you click the continue button it needs to randomly go to page 1 thru 3.

Then each of those individual pages will go directly to another page. So page 1 will go to page 100, page 2 to page 200, page 3 to page 300.

Who knew being a perv would require so much technical knowledge!

Miss the ole days when all I had to do was know what size batteries to have on hand!
